Me410 A-1: To The Finish! 11/7/10

Great stuff, Chuck, and even without the green eyed beauty's invite, I'll be waiting with baited ...er...breaths for the next installment.  One thing, I don't know if it's just my computer, but 3 photos, 404,405, and 406 didn't open...hope I din't miss the meaning of life or something as important. 

amazing as always chuck...i was just wondering how to do the trim tab linkage and have now found my solution...keep it up....

I've gotten sick and tired of having all these little sub-assemblies taking up space on the bench, so I decided to start sticking everything together.  Naturaaly I had to add some details along the way- right, Fritzi?

Trouble is, I'm starting to feel like a junkie, waiting for my next fix!  More please, Chuck.  It really is quite stunning, the extent of your work, and totally appreciated.

It's been one of those weekends- drained, cleaned and refilled hot tub (yes, I know- life is tough!), fixed drain in lawn, fertilized gardens and lawn, maintained fresh- and saltwater fish tanks- realized hot water heater had up 'n'died.   <_<  Got a visit form the the Gas Man and a plumber- more to come on that front!  Meanwhile, no hot water, but at least we can flush.  :)  Today, got ready for impending storms: cleared blocked body drains, soldered rear do-fogger lead, cleaned interior and Rain-X'ed the windows in my MR2 Spyder, etc.  Been on my feet all weekend, except for the brief benchtime this afternoon that I document here:  Fritzi?

That is indeed a beautiful build Chuck. I've got one of these kits at the bottom of my stash - I picked it up ages ago and was a little hesitant to start it after hearing some mixed reviews concerning fit issues. I've been following along keeping track of your progress so I know what I'll be getting myself into when I get into it this year. Keep up the great work!

Been a while since I've logged onto finescale.com. Spent the holidays in southern California (I was even going to try to see if that Helldiver was still at the Military Shop as I was in Long Beach the day after Christmas, but was there well before the store's opening time and I ended up doing lunch in Montrose, instead, on my way to Sylmar).  Good to see that your large photo-enriched posts are finally more cooperative.

Sorry you had so much trouble getting the wings on. That's always a major step forward, though--now the Me-410 really looks like an airplane.

Very fine skills there. Blows away anything I could do. Love the dash of humor mixed in with the tips.

I tell you Chuk, I think your the best modeler on this site!  Not only do you have mad skills, but you make your WIP's a form of entertainment all it's own!  Can't wait for the next installment!

I like the acetone-and-Squadron-white trick, I use that, too, homemade Mr Surfacer!

Another brilliant installment Chuk!  I have tried the stretched sprue filler technique, but enjoyed only moderate success re-scribing over it.

Boy...that Pfenning is a harsh little task-master!  Someone should give the little bugger a chill-pill...but Fritzi is cute.

You certainly have made your threads into something special...and I personally (along with a couple of hundred others, I'm sure) hang out impatiently for every new installment, and enjoy then immensely.

Well, I've been cranking away for days, so here comes a flood- of tragedy- and triumph!  Sometimes I think that none of the parts to this thing actually fit together, even though I know it a great kit.   Once you start chopping, it all goes out the window as one tiny flaw can lead to another.   Perseverance saves the day, and Fritzi shows you how.  As a special present o you, there's a large size version of today's header at chukw.com

Love the way the engine came out, Chuck!  I finally learned a similar lesson (flat black is too black in small scale) and I've been using Tamiya's NATO Black as the base coat.  Not only does it look better in scale, but I can see the details better than with a base of flat black.  I may even do that with my gloss toy soldiers, to make it easier to see the cast details.

As always, much fun to watch, and it's encouraging me in my own builds!

 Well Chuk! Youv'e gone an done it!  After following your builds I decided to use you for an inspiration and try to go all out on one of my own!  Started on the MPM Hi-Tech 1/48 Greif and got all this resin and PE extra stuff for it on top of what comes in the kit. As I work on this multi-media nightmare I can't help but  think of your excellent and entertaining threads. So I guess this is a bravo to you Chuk!  Just don't let me get my hands on ya!

 I wonder what I will be doing next? Taking art classes and drawing my own characters?  Jeeze!  Probably not though. Hannah and Fritzi are hard acts to follow. Could use a Brunette though? LOL!

 Back to the bench again and asking myself....WWCD? What would Chuk do?
