I guess if the Russians had captured the 229 and copied it, we could have called that the Ivan-ho...

If it was built by De Haviland, would it be....DeHo? And would DeHo still be worth $229?

after about 5 coats and lots of sanding....its putty in my hands....and feet....and hair.....and nose....

done so much puttying and sanding I think Im ready to work for Earl Scheib....

"I'll Paint any Ho for $229.00..." Cowboy

AND still need some minor touch up now that I hit it with the primer.....then rescibre some panel line....the fit of this kit has got to be the worst.....it has surpassed the MPM He-177 and coming up quick on the Nichimo Jake....at this rate even Vance will be done before me........Whistling

Nice work Big-Z!!!

Thought I'd announce that I've started work on a ho of a different colour- the Type 3 Ho-Ni  SPG.

Hopefully she will be posted in the armour forum when I finish her- at the rate I build expect three-four years... (only reason I beat Vance is my Ho-229 was so much smaller.) Snail

well....seams filled...panel lines rescribed...engine covers ready( just need to sand those ribs down a bit....and I think I might be ready for some paint....of course those two pesky little connections between the cockpit and the engines broke again,,,,terrible connection....no strength....not enough surface to glue to....oh well....just another bump in the road on Route 229...

I've been trying to get a 1/48 kit of this one for months.  I keep getting sniped.  I don't think I am going to keep trying.  On my budget it's just not possible.   These look so cool.  The builds you guys are doing are absolutely awesome.

I'm surprised the 1/48 Horton isn't more popular.and still in production.

Nah, *** or urine of some sort would have to be involved in order to qualify for such a grant...

Looking very nice Carlos, you know, for something that doesn't involve floats or a CAT-apault. (I now return to my cone of shame until I model my way out...)

Awesome Big-Z! Love the extra work you added on the engines.

You know you could still stick a pair of floats on her... Wink
