Sprue-ce Goose

 VanceCrozier:

Did you know: In Canada, it is illegal to kilt a goose? Apparently kilts are an endangered species...

probably too many were kilt...

It takes seven kilts, four geese and 40-oz of scotch to make a set of bagpipes...

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

Winter solstice in the great south land... 51.3F right now, raining, and just after sunrise (if you can call a blue-grey cloudscape such...)

My mask set arrived at the LHS, just need to pick it up, or have it posted, then this bird can get into colour.

Speaking of colour, I can't wait to see one of you guys mask up a tartan 229, in keeping with the current Scottish theme... A "hunting" tartan, of course, in the traditional colours of Clan McHorton... Whatever they are... But probably involve RLM 74, 75,and 76!

I surrender.  I've ordered a Revell 1/72nd scale HO/GO229 from Great Models.  It won't come anywhere close to Carlos' work-of-art, but I want to be able to sit with the cool MOJOs in the cafeteria.

I was thinking a Hel-blau scheme like I saw on a late model JU-88.  Be an interesting air brush exercise.  Maybe Defense of the Reich colors, too.

Thanks for the encouragement.  I'll go to my LHS to pick up paint.  Should get the kit sometime this week.  Haven't build an aircraft model since the 1970's.

I've looked all through the thread and I can't find the badge either.  The creator (Oddman?) removed it from his posts.

He's secure enough in his masculinity to have an avatar that wears pink trousers.  He's braver than I am.

He's the most masculine man in the world. Wink
