 Hans von Hammer:

Haven't got a thing I classify as "weird"... Closest thing would be the "Red Baron" show car or the '66 Batmobile kits..  Kits like the BV and all that "Luftwaffe '46 stuff" I don't buy because they're, well....

Weird...Wink

I couldn't resist the BV. because it was definitely weird and I wondered how it could fly at all. By appearance it looks like it would fly like an anvil would.

British Captain Eric Brown flew one of the BV aircraft and said it handled surprisingly well, but the engine was worn out and he didn't fly it more than once.

He also stated that the Russians who offered the aircraft seemed to be hoping for a crash and were visibly disappointed when he safely landed.

Sorry I'm late...

Gamera: Score! Where'd you get the Dalek?

I'm a bit too lazy to take my own box pics, here's mine- (not taking any credit!!!)

For Aircraft, it's got to be Smer's Amoit 143-http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/hh619/paperpanzer/0aa669bb222d89d8341173862fdb.jpg

Now that Amiot is actually on my "watch list". I seem to have been bitten by a French aircraft bug of some sort recently. Hmm And that one is just soooo odd looking I need to grab one. How are the clear parts in the Smer boxing?

PP: I had to order it from a UK company: Comet Miniatures.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look they have any more in stock, all I see is expensive resin kits. Sad

Whats the weirdest kit in your stash?
Posted by deattilio on Monday, June 11, 2012 10:00 PM

This is the closest to “weird” in my stash.  As a fan of the whole family of DC-3/C-47 it sits as weird because it is the only C-117 in my stash, albeit the model companies are more to blame for the dearth than I.  Additionally, it is the only resin aircraft kit in my stash, the remaining piles of resin being conversion/detail parts for other kits.

Hill Country Hobbies is closed on Mondays.

Dang it. I guess I'll try Dibbles Hobbies

There is a HobbyTown USA there too. That's where I go when I'm in San Antonio.

Lots of Texans in here as of late. Nice!!

I WAS going to try Dibbles--turns out they are closed on Mondays also. Thanks for the heads up on Hobbytown. I will most likely hit that next time Im up there. Had to get back to Corpus tonight.

mustang - yep, there is. WnW's released two, an early and a late variant. This is the late one, without the nose wheel, but with a couple of black night-schemes, a nice change from the standard RFC PC-10 color.

For me it has to be this one, kinda strange, but still pretty cool, especially if you like string......

Is there an article about this kit in the latest issue?

Hello, fellow TEXAN!You could E-MAIL either HILL COUNTRY HOBBIES on BANDERA rd in SAN ANTONIO or KINGS in AUSTIN.They do mail order and credit card sales for long distance customers.I live in NEW BRAUNFELS so I do that a lot. TANKER-builder    P.S my weirdest kit is probably the two types of "POGO" type of aircraft. I haven,t built them since I bought them over twelve years ago.

That's funny. I am in San Antonio today for training up from Corpus and was thinking about visiting a hobby shop today. I'll look up Hill Country Hobbies. Thanks for the tip and reminder, Joe

Weirdest aircraft... I've got the Airfix BV141 in there, maybe the Kamov 25 twin-rotor helicopter (also Airfix), which is weird for me. The weirdest though... probably the MPC Star Wars kits I was gifted, a Trade Federation Tank, and a Battle Droid riding a STAP.
