The kit does look great! Waiting on decals to arrive, Polish AF Mig 29 will be the scheme. I will do the GWH first.

Hey, fellow Russian jet fans:

Squadron here in the States is having a "big kits" sale until this Sunday. I spotted a few MiGs on there, including the Trumpeter 1/32 MiG-29 for around $80. Also saw Eduard's Su-27 and UB re-pops for around $80 or $90. Not sure if those are good sale prices or not (can't always be sure with Squadron), but...figured it's worth a post.

Fall is getting closer and I'm getting the building jones again....Kitty Hawk MiG-25......Eduard Su-27.....decisions, decisions.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey, guys!

Kitty Hawk's new-tool 1/48 MiG-25 is finally here! Woo hoo! Been a loooong wait. Got mine at Sprue Bros.:

store.spruebrothers.com/.../kth80119.htm

Now comes the hard part--Eduard Su-27 or MiG-25 for my next build? Man, this is a tough one.

Hope everyone is well!

Nice!!

I plan to get back in the saddle in a big way in December. Accrued enough vacation days to take the whole month off. :-)

So maybe get this GB going again.

Man, I don't know. And that's not even all of my vacation time. What sucks is that because I'm a department of one, I can't take tons of vacation time. And what sucks even more is that I don't get paid out for vacation days I don't use, and they don't carry over to next year. Sigh.

So I end up with a wad of days I have to burn at the end of the year. The wife, house, and kids make sure there is always something to do, but I seem to burn through my personal to-do list in about three days lol.

But at least the MiG or Flanker will keep me on a modeling project until next spring. :-)

I hear you! I don't have the PROBLEM of that much vacation piling up, but I am the only graphic designer at my company. So, the project list never really stops, and I know there will be extra work waiting when I take off for vacation.

John!!  Busy summer at work, and I ended up taking on several freelance projects because OF COURSE those all show up in the summer. And of course, I am a bona-fide softball addict. Played on 2 teams again this season, 60 games all told. And add to that the daughter had to be at the gym for cheerleading practices twice a week. Where did the summer go?

Aha, Vance, so you can relate to my plight. :-) Dept of One = some modicum of job security, but like you wrote, the work never stops. :-)

Well, I've bought so much aftermarket crap for the Su that I almost HAVE to build it (even hoping that Kenny L. at Gator can make some custom masks for the splinter camo), so....I'm definitely leaning hard in that direction. Not to mention the Su-27 is my favorite jet. Love that beast. :-)

Poke around here for some interesting foreign schemes... national markings maybe problematic.

I can't believe this GB is still going on! When finished with the Mirage I may well build the Mig-21 and post it here.

Do eeeeeeeet.

I need motivation during builds, especially if, erm, sorry, WHEN something goes wrong, so I need this GB. :-)

Lol, porkbits I will, when I'm done with the Mirage I'll get stuck into the Mig-21 and post it here. I have been snowed under with work lately and the laptop has gone up the left but I will get on it asap when I'm finished with the Mirage 2000, which by the way I'm sort of stuck in a lull I want to build it, but when I do get time I sort of have no motivation. Gotta get my *** in gear.

LOL. Truth.

Sounds good, Dean! Would love to see the Mig-21. I have a couple of the Eduard kits.

Lol, Dre I can't be drinking all the time I'm doing my PT course, but I had some more of the Mirage done and as soon as my computer is fixed I will get pictures of the Mirage up and start the Mig-21, I want to get some resin for it though so it may take a month or two so I can get all the Decals and a couple of Eduard photo etch parts, I'm not gonna bother adding anymore detail to the Mirage I have done the cockpit and I will use kit only parts and have it done with. The Mig may be starting a few months from now, but I wouldn't mind seeing Dre's Mig-29M or the Sukhoi PB is building. As for me it will be a while yet.

The MiG-29 is collecting dust- it has a nice winter coat and it would be a shame to dislodge that beautiful pelt...

Lol, Dre when you look at the Mig 29 it has some really nice lines going on, you just have to build it to appreciate it, the SU-27 almost looks cumbersome by comparison.
