Completed Trumpeter 1:32 Messerschmitt Bf 109-G-6 Early Version

It's coming along very nicely. Now that you tried 1/32 pe, how about doing 1/72 or 1/144 pe on a future project?

Kitty Hawk just came out with a beautiful 1/32 Kingfisher Which I will get As soon as it's in.  I also have the 1/48 old Monogram one and have the resin pit from Lone Star for it too.

I will be looking for that 1/32 Kingfisher.  I'm building the Revell 1/48 now. I haven't been on this kit for the last 6 weeks while waiting for the Lone Star resin cockpit set to arrive, but it finally arived yesterday YAAAAY.  Actually I started this kit over a year ago but had much trouble receiving the cockpit set.  The first one I ordered " got lost in the mail "  I hafta do everything at least twice lately.

Nice work, Toshi. How are you liking the Tamiya weathering kits? I had to try several different methods with those before I found what works for me. You're kickin' A' again.

Looking good so far Toshi.  Your engine painting is very convincing and looks cool.

I am surprised that for a large scale, pricey kit that the machine guns aren't cast very well though.

If you ever do a 190, I have some pics of a replica built with most of the original tooling.  In the Erickson Collection.  Don't know how much use they would be, but will send them when you get there.

Looking good so far, are you giong to leave a panel off so the engine is shown?

I know exactly what you're talking about.  I've been searching for a Kingfisher for almost nine months.  I wanted to build that as my first comeback build.  Of course I chose the P-61 instead. 

I had to build the original Monogram as it was out of pure nostalgia or stupidity in my case!  LOL!  I don't know what to expect but thats what makes this hobby so fun and exciting.  LOL!  Sometimes frustrating as well.  Whew!

I saw this seller with a complete set of the Tamiya Weatherine set.  $48.00 free shipping.  Very tempting when one of these retails anywhere from $8.00 to $10.00.  I think there's six sets total?

I have that kit in the stash and is labeled by Monogram as "Hi tech" cause of the tiny pe set included which is a nice touch. Even though it's an old mold and it has some shape issues it's still the only 1/48 Kingfisher available. I also have a 1/48 Curtiss S03C Seamew from Czech Models that is really nice.

Toshi, that bird has the same markings as my F-4 that I built. I'm pretty sure it's the same pilot. He was one of the hightest scoring aces for Germany until he was captured. Nice work on a cool aircraft. I'll be watching.

Thanks Bish.  I was contemplating either the 109 or the Stuka.  The Stuka will be my next German kit to build.  I love that the Stuka has such an unusual bent wing like the Corsair.  Very cool.  Thank you for visiting!

I would like to build the Trumpeter 1:32.  But, I need to get an ok from Mrs. Toshi.  What I had in mind was something nostalgic like the Monogram 1:48 Stuka.  I always wanted to make that but as a youngster, my focus was American aircrafts.  That was due to the TV show Baa Baa Blacksheep.  LOL!

I'm heavily addicted to showing off any detail what so ever.  Just like my visible B-17G, Me 262, and the SBD Dauntless.   To the best of my abilities, I will try my best to display the "Gustav" without the panels to show all engine details.  As always, your guess is correct sir.  Thank you so much for the visit, read, and reply.

Well, if i do get one, or should i say when, i will get both. Being a Stuka fan, i can never have enough. As i understand it, both kits are very nicely detailed, with just the small accuracy issue if that concerns you. The A and B have a differant apperance so it would boil down to which you liked the look of, the scheme and if you wanted a war time bird.

The A is not a version thats seen much, it has a very 1930's look.

Trump also do an 87G which i believe is very nice as well. I already have the Hasegawa G, so the Trump kit is not on my shopping list. I don't know if that suffers from the same issues as the other kits.

The G is a very late model and i believe that the Trump kit comes with the most popular markings for that type, those of the aircraft flown by Hans Rudel.

Thanks Bish!  That was very insightful.  For just the moment, I like the A.  May I assume it was used at the start of WWII?  If so, I would like to build something of that nature.  Thank you again sir.

The A was used during the Spanish civil war and by WW2 had be relegated to training units. I have seen no referance of it being used in combay during the war. The B was first introduce during the Spanish war as well, but of course that carried on into WW2.

This is the 72nd A i built a couple of years back with the pre war scheme that was in use right upto the start of WW2.

If you fancy going bigger, there is the Airfix 1/24th Ju 87B. I got that a while back and its a great looking kit. And Trump are supposed to be releaseing a 24th 87D.

1:24 Wow!  The details on something that large must be a treat to see as well as building it.
