Ugh I still have nightmares about that canopy. You've done a first rate job on it. This was one of the first planes I had built so my solution was far less elegant.....i just built up layer after layer of elmers....looks like that too
It is not perfdct but it is acceptable.Apart from the canopy issue it has been a build one would expect from z 70s era kit.
Sure! addded some decals.
Getting the wheels and props ready.
I really like the polished NMF look.
I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Cdn Colin I really like the polished NMF look.
A friend just gave me an orginal issue of this kit. 1974 still has the Shep Paine diorama booklet in it. Has been sitting in his garage for 35 years
It's different and I like it
Yes,reminds me of Howard Huges experimental fighter thst he crashed when the counter rotating prop mechanism failed due to oil starvation.

Looking super cool!
I think it needs red wing tips.
May be!
Getting the top turret together. As is the norm for this kit,I had to carve out the round opening in the fuselage to allow it to fit flush.
Just about done, and I like the results!
Love the polished NMF!
No bucks, no Buck Rogers
Thanks!It sure is eye catching!
WOW! What a fantastic ending for your P-61! It is a very unique build, the finishing touch just elevates your build.
