Darren Roberts

That's looking great Toshi! Your camo looks spot on. The decals won't be difficult. I built the model that's on the sides of the box. When Revell sent me the test decal sheet, I was a bit worried about how they would go down. They were ALPS printed, and not the regular ones you have, but the sizing is the same. I had no problems putting them on.

Thank you so much Darren Roberts.  Your words are too kind.  I shot the camoflauge motif free hand.  I currently am painting the missiles and drop tank.

Once these are attached, I'll be spraying the F-15C Eagle with Testors Clear Lacquer Spray from a rattle can and then I can work on the decals.

Thank you so very much for the decal tip, (I didn't know that the decals go on easy without any problems for you.  I just hope for the same for me.) and the support you've given me is priceless!  I'll be using your photo pic as a base to see where everything goes.  Once again, I can't thank you enough!

M. Brindos

I don't know who's faster, you, or Keyda. I'm not sure how you guys do it. Stick out tongue

Keyda!  She finished a Tomcat and a Sabre Dog while I'm building this Eagle!  LOL!  She's the new speed King/Queen.  LOL!  Seriously though, Keyda turns out some very excellent examples of aircraft!  I'm most impressed!

First coat of paint.  Everything looks good from here.  Next up is the camoflauge motif.  I'll be doing that free hand later this evening when things cool down around here.  It's ninety degrees outside where I'm AB. And it's just too hot!  LOL!

Well, I knew at some point the Tamiya white putty would have to be used.  LOL!  Although it's not too bad.  A little here and a little there with some sanding took care of everything.

I've come across a major issue.  Part number 14, right outboard intake panel is missing.  I have already contacted Revell and I should have that part in a week or two.  You gotta love Revell's customer service!

Below are two photos of what part is missing and needed to complete the F-15C Eagle.  The  third photo is of the nose cone of which needs to be sanded down.  Thank you forum members for your support!

armornut

Toshi I have complete faith in your mastery of building and decaling. This Eagle will fly as high or higher as your other builds. The scheme is not my taste but if my BETTER half wanted it I would bend over backwards for her. Watching with bated breath.

armornut, you are way too kind with your words.  I'm most humbled by it.  I will do my best in this build.  Mrs. Toshi is waiting on me for the decal section of this build.  LOL!

There is an issue of which I will share with forum members below.  It might slow the building process down a bit.  Thank you sir for always supporting my builds.  I am most grateful for this.

XF-15DCC

Looking good. Maybe I will finish mine but then again it is summer and time for other things.

Kevin

Thank you XF-15DCC!  I didn't know you're working on the same kit. LMK of any issues you come across.  Then again, as you said; "It is summer and time for other things".  I completely agree.  Thank you sir for the read and reply!

Its my understanding this is an excellent kit. Those decals should be fun....

Yes, it's a simple kit.  Though it's a 1979 mold with raised panel lines.  Flash all over the place, wrong parts numbers, fit and finish is difficult but doable.  The only new item is the burner cans.

Once I can straighten everything out, I'll be looking forward to the base paint, camoflauge motif, and then the real fun part starts!  Decals and stencils!  LOL!

Toshi

Thoght with all the shortcomings of the kit that you mentioned, I still believe you'll finish it beautifully.

Model Maniac, your words are too kind, I am most humbled.  I want to thank you for your continued support in my builds!

I know!  Stencils!  LOL!  Yuk!  The decals look challenging enough, I just hope none of them rip!  This will be interesting at best!  Thank you BrandonK for always supporting my builds.
