her some pics of the gekko interior.  I still need to do some more , I am getting a hole punch for Christmas and going to "try" doing the dials like that.

This one isn't by best effort but I tried a new way to do it

Jay, looking good there.

Seeing the ejector pin marks on the interior of your Gekko brings back probably the only bad memory from my build.

hi guys,  beginning modeler here from TN.  Would like to join this build if possible. Ive always been a WWII buff and am ready to enjoy modeling. My grandfater was an avid modeler as is one of my uncles.  I grew up roaming my grandpas model room stacked from the floor to the ceiling with WW II models.  I tried building a p-51 when i was 12.....and failed miserably.  Anyways im now 26 and am ready to have another go at modeling.  So as my second attempt at a model in my lifetime id like to try Revells P-38j lightning "pathfinder".  I realize from reading other peoples experience with the model that its probably a mistake to start with this one.....but im a jump in headfirst kind of guy.

Welcome! I saw ZZ Top in Memphis many years ago :)

put ya down for the GB, thanks for joining. sorry for the delay, have not been on the board for a week!

I've made some more progress on the 110.

The fuselage is back in one piece, and just as important straight!

The wheel bays have received a coat of 02 and a wash and dry brush with oils, nothing major, as these will be all but invisible when built.

I've also attached the air intake for the starboard engine, using Brett Green's technique to get the trunk at the right angle to the engine, something RoG didn't manage!

I'll glue this back together once I've tidied up the joint with the nacelle. As you can see the nacelles needed filler in a few places.

Merry Xmas

Karl

Well my F-15E is done!  The decals gave me a bit of trouble, but for my second model, overall I am pretty happy with the result.  Here are some pics:

And a reminder of what the cockpit looks like!

Decals are from the Minot AFB in North Dakota.
