Oh, poor baby, being surrounded by girls... I hate you so.

I just put in my order from the shop I use, should have the gift, and send it out pretty soon, maybe this week.

Do me a favor guys, if you have sent out your gift, send me a PM,  Also send one if you recieved yours, so I can make sure everything is going well

and if yall cats havent sent out your gift yet, get on it, shouldnt send it out past like nov 28 or something, longer you wait less change it gets there on time

You got a telegram from headquarters today. Headquarters--what is it? Well, it's a big building where generals meet, but that's not important right now. [ img] f_armorsecretm_ac7eb73[/ img]

Did anyone like...  well, I know I sent/am going to send, out a few things that sort of fit together into a scene.  You know what I mean, like... (not what I am sending out) a Panzer IV and a set of Panzer IV mechanics, or something of that nature.  Anyone do that kind of thing?

I just sent the kit as far as being model related and some personal stuff I thought the person might like. I think I told you I totally forgot the card explaining it all in my eagerness to get it mailed but it got mailed.

Wish I woulda seen this last month but I was kinda busy with my father getting very ill and then passing away. I reckon it's too late to sign on now, but would you mind giving me more details on how something like this works? Sounds like fun and I would like to get involved. Thanks man. Dennis.

P.S. So? What did she say?

So what did who say?

As far as how this works.

Everyone gives me their names, addresses, what kind of kits they like to build, and if they can send oversea.

I then sort the names (like get the ones that can ship overseas with the over seas people and such) randomise all the names, so they everyone has a partner

Then the person buys a gift and a card, puts some pictures or something personal in the gift, wraps it, and sends it off.  On christmas we all open, take pics, show us what we got, then start building.

Its to late to get you involved at this point, but if all goes well (it seems to be) we will had another next year, you will be more then welcome to join in.

Oh, and my condolences about your father, you have my sympothies.

Awesome hans, I'm glad you got involved, good to have some vets (in more ways then one) aboard for our maiden voyage.  Now... the big question... does your wifey know about this kit, or are you hiding it as well?

Well this is my 1st year participating in SSGB as well.  Really got in the spirit and participated in 3 of them so I'll be a busy builder come Christmas. You can pretty much figure out who your SS is from the return address even if they don't say but it is kept quiet until Christmas. I have been following others examples and just leaving a comment that a package has arrived o let the sender know it got there ok. Someof the commets are very fun to read. Laugh [(-D]

Well mine has been out for a while now so fingers crossed that it got there.  I have just received a package that is another mystery. The Return Address says only secret Santa postmarked from a strange far away place.  Since like a few of you I am participating in more than one GB I at least make an attempt to narrow down from which it belongs.  There is a tag on this that says 1/35 model so I am leaning this way. So thank you to whomever is my mysterious benefactor and the wife has stashed it away to keep my curiosity at bay.

I did give it a slight shake and it started ticking loudly. So I handed it off to the wife. Hey sacrifices have to be made Mister! Thanks again and it is here safe and sound who ever you are.  Make a Toast [#toast]

Only one month to go guys. Anybody want to fess up to opening their gift early? I haven't but there is just something about Christmas wrapping paper that calls to me. Must be from childhood days of opening the gifts before Christmas and then taping them back up so no one knew!

No opening.  If you open before christmas you have to send it back, and send a gift to EVERYONE that is participating as well
