ew, Sex in the City? I have to draw the line somewhere...lol. Smeagol's prob sleeping, haha

First of... hes 100% right.  Couldnt sleep all night, did the whole christmas thing with the parents around 8 in the mornin, then fell asleep till 4.

Im overjoyed at what I recieved, a Dragon Hummel initial production, from GA.modelmaker (Robert)  Its absolutley awesome, first dragon kit I ever got.  It so perdy.  Ill post pics of it later.  I'm off to decide if I should watch the prestiege, the dark night, letters from iwo jima, or Mr Bean's holiday tonight.  Im leaning toward Mr Bean.

As far as what ELSE I got, Ill have to post pics, my parents went farking nuts with kits, there are atleast 10 in addition to those I picked out, including some cool ones, like some old aurora/polar lights kits (like dick tracy, godzilla, and a king kong roadster)

Nice score there Max. And a couple of good looking boys as well. Unfortunately, I must remind you of the words of Herr Smeagol in a previous thread: "If you open your gift before Christmas, then you must send 10 models to everyone in the GB." Shall I send you my wish list now? Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

And as for my gift, thank you very much to who ever it was. I tossed the USPS box with your name and now I've forgotten it! All I can remember is that you are from Wisconsin. Anyway, I received a Bronco Swurfgerat H39. Very interesting little tank that will go well with my Stuka Zu Fuss.

Edited to say, Holy Crap Max. I just noticed you are from Wisconsin. Were you my Secret Santa? If so, then you only owe me 9 more kits!!!Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

But....but....but...I was framed, I tell ya! It was a complete and total accident! (besides, it happened before the decree.)Whistling [:-^]

And, also.....I am your secret Santa!Big Smile [:D] I'm glad you like the kit. I was looking for something you don't see every day. As for the 9 other kits, watch out or you might end up on the naughty list next year! HO! HO! HO!Big Smile [:D]

Merry Christmas!

Here's a better close-up of the kit..

Thanks groups...

Sadly, I didn't make a note of the Secret Santa that sent it to me over a month ago, and have lost your name.  Sound off and take a bow, Man...

That would be I that sent you the kit and I'm glad you like it.

P.S You have a set of figures and some resin bits inbound to dress up that kit a tad.

Merry christmas.

You got a telegram from headquarters today. Headquarters--what is it? Well, it's a big building where generals meet, but that's not important right now. [ img] f_armorsecretm_ac7eb73[/ img]

Yeah thanks Smeagle ! If we can keep him away from those chick flicks!

Yeah I saw the chair  Mike but was not as shocked by that as much as the hair and beard. Oh well Lt Dan got a haircut by the end of the movie.... Guess there is hope. Make a Toast [#toast]  I was lucky enough to avoid that permanently when I broke my neck. Dog gone Bradley Hatches hurt.

Looks like a lot of thought went into the gifts and they sure look cool. Looks like the first Armor GB is a hit!

Oh Bologna! Ok Hans your off the hook! But this fellow!  Hmmmmmm!

I thought you played the French Horn! Not the Air Guitar!  Have I missed somethig?  Are we all gonna start Feathering our hair next? ( Just ignore me I'm having a melt down) Might as well put the Hardy Boys back in Prime time!  Ygmodeler  watch as many Disney movies as you like! This takes the cake! Say it isn't so! Oh the Humanity!!!!!

(one more) Where are all the  *&%#^$ Barbers!!!!! Looks like he is trying to be Inyuashi or something and became Fabio Jr.

Ok I'm over it. I was on the brink with Hans but this one put me over the top!

Yeah Smeagle of Vitalis lets do it again!  I don't even want to know what movie you saw!  Cool kit though!

Big Smile [:D]

Ok Hans your off the hook!

LOL... You're much more forgiving than my former Sergeant Major was at the last St.Barbara's Dine-out...  Thought he was gonna have a blow-by... Had I worn Dress Blues, I woulda gone broke from payin' fines in Mess, lol... There were still some points of order from the Mess, and the Vice didn't go easy on me because of the chair, lol.. So I didn't get away unscathed...The other Senior NCOs had fun at my expense as well...

The beard comes off on a semi-regular basis, though.  I don't grow a beard as much as I just don't shave.. I hate shaving, always have.

As for barbers, there truly isn't one in this whole damn town, just frikin' hair salons, and I ain't steppin' foot into a place that doesn't have anyone who knows what a High & Tight is.. I gotta drive 15 miles to get to one, and will... When I get outta the wheelchair, I'll trade up to a barber chair, lol...  Smeagol however, still needs a frikkin' haircut... Looks like a freakin' extra from a Wayne's World movie...Wink [;)] 'Course, he ain't NEAR as bad as the college-clowns around here at ISU.. I swear, they had to have either lost bets or are just tryin' to get back at their parents... Spiky purple mohawks and more facial metal that King Tut's sarcophagus... If dumb was dirt, those gomers could cover an acre apiece...Censored [censored]

Anyway, various coiffurs aside, this looks like a pretty successful GB for the Smeaglet, and I'm in for next year too, Lord willin' an' th' creek don't rise...  Bein' a relatively new member, I still can't get over how great folks are around here... Not only with the SSGB, but in general... I've needed help for parts an' instructions, decals, and have had folks from all over (even Europe) send me more than what I asked for (sometimes, even a whole kit), with nary a request for payment, not even shipping costs,  just the request to "pass it forward" when I get the chance, which I gladly did (even my precious 1/48th scale figuresBig Smile [:D]) on several occasions...

I'm glad there's forums like this one, and without it, modeling would still be a very solitary thing for me.  I never got to travel to many shows and swap meets, so seeing other's work and being able to correspond with them is immeasurable in it's value to me... Beats hell outta just lookin' at a magazine spread...

Sorry I got soooo wordy, but then again, I got nuthin' else to do right now while some paint dries on m' latest howitzer build...

Here's wishin' y'all a Happy New Year now...

Newer kits are coming out with turned aluminum barrels for the gun tubes rather than plastic 2-piece, Smeagol...

It seems like everyone went above and beyond what was required of them, kit wide.  I didnt expect everyone to go out and buy really nice kits like they did.  If I hadent of sent a figure kit as well, and found out the kit came with an aluminum barrel, I would be feeling auffly cheep right now.

Also, dont praise me alone, I just took JWB's idea and ran with it, he diserves some of the credit.

Tausand danke! I recieved the figures and fuel drums today!!  The drums are fantastic and I'm going to use a couple of them as masters to cast more.  And the Geman Tank Crew, that's a classic! I love it and it'll fit right in with my plans for the track..
