Here is a teaser -- most of the resin parts for this conversion.

I'm using the spare fuselage and parts from the Dragon He-162/Me-262 Mistel kit. Only thing I'm missing from that is landing gear doors and wheels however CMK does a nice set of replacement wheels and Quickboost does a set of 262 gear doors so with just a few little extras this project is golden. I'm also going to use a Revi gunsight from Quickboost. The Mistel kit does not include a spare rubber but the Antares kit allows for a V tail conversion option so I'm going to take that path.

That is cool Matt. I have often contemplated getting that conversion set to make a two-seat bomber destroyer. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Warhammer I don't mean to rain on your parade but if you intend to use this group build thread to show what would have been used in the 1946 campaigns had they occurred then everything in this gb would be what if?

No. As you can see, some of the builds are not what-ifs. Actually, none of them technically are. The Bf-109K-4 that I am building is not a what if, it say actual service and had kills. A "what-if" in my eyes is a subject that a person has dreamed up and has no intention of it ever seeing actual combat. The aircraft that are going to be built and the ones I have listed were at least designed to see actual combat and be used. The idea of this GB is to build those 1945-1946 subjects. I mean, a P-51 would have been in service in 1946, still escourting bomber most likely. Many countries had many projects though that never say combat because the war ended. The P-80, Go-229, T-29, E-100, and many others come to mind and they were not what-ifs. That being said, what-ifs are allowed to be built.

First of all, Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums ECS. It is great to have you aboard! If you have any questions about this group build, please fell free to ask. Also, is this the 1/35 or 1/72 DML Maus?

Thank you! Oops; it is the 1/35th DML kit. In the box I also found that I had the Verlinden detail set for it, I may have a metal barrel kicking around as well. It's been quite a while since I finished an armor kit, so I am looking foreward to this.

Yes you can. Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the GB and to the forums 251. This is a great place for anything modeling. Have fun. What is the manufacturer and scale of the kit though?

If it is the Trumpeter, then it is 1/35. It would be awesome to see that built as well. Let me know what you want to do.

Put me down for Tamiyas 1/35 Panther G (Late Version). This gives me an excuse to put a ficticious paint scheme on it. =)

WarHammer25,

Count me in. The Metero has been on my short list of planes to build. It will be 1/48 scale. I believe Tamiya makes a 1/48 scale kit.

Thanks

Tom

Here's some progress for ya, I got my pit done and am looking at fixing the intakes.

The seat in the pit is a quick boost resin piece. The IP and side consols have been replaced with Eduard PE pieces. The intakes as from Antares have a serious step inside, I'm grinding them out to be a smooth transition. This New Years holiday has allowed for some serious model time unfortunately it's back to work in the morning so not much will happen until next weekend now.

Sounds good. Front page updated.

The easiest way (at least the way I do it) to put the badge of your choice in your signature is to first save the picture to your own computer under "My Pictures" (I think). Then you need to be a member of a photo website like photobucket or flikr, both are free. I use photobucket. Then upload the badge to your account and then copy and paste the image file into your signature. You might also want to check out the Forum Help section if that doesn't work.

I'd like to get in on this too.

I have never done a GB before I am a newb on the forum, in fact I think this may be only my 3rd post :)

I was planning to build this next anyways. I am going to build a Hasegawa 1/32 ME163 Komet.

I will likely be building it completely OOB.

Thanks
