On the topic of a badge - I spent a few minutes googling 'model stash' images and found this one:

It was posted on www.starshipmodeler.net by a guy from MA.  His user name is 'Prince of Styrene II'.  Anyone know him?  Anyone him...?Cool [8D]  Think he'd care if we used it (or modified it)?

I'm not sure if this image is 'perfect' but the whole sense of stuff just piled high on a bed seemed to set the 'appropriate' tone, if you know what I mean.

So, what do y'all think?  Is it workable, can we do something with it?

Not a bad pic, but I remember seeing a pic from a guy on the armor board of his stash.  It literally looked like his entire basement room was filled with models.  Might be worth investigating.

As far as the number of voters goes, It's probably pretty good that we got 26-27 out of 30 to participate.  Most GBs I've been in have lost a few before the build even starts for various reasons.

Looks like I will be placing the Hind on the work bench Thursday morning. Have just ordered some Eduard detail sets and since the Dark Elf kit was a close second, I may have time to work on her as a break from the Hind from time to time.

Hey Windhawk -

I should be able to take care of that list for you.  Remind me, when do polls close?  Is it midnight on Tuesday?  So I could put the list up Wednesday morning?

Thanks Boyd.  Much appreciated.
I will close the polls around midnight tommorrow (Tuesday).

Angel, I just checked your poll and it's still a close race.
It could still swing, given that 4 people have not voted on your stash yet.

Well, alrighty!!!  I've got 29 votes and the worst that can happen is that I have a two way tie between two kits I did not really expect to show all that well...  Gonna be fun!!  Now, if I can just figure out who that last voter is.....

Archangel - if your Hind does indeed win, you should check out Cobra Company products for Hind add-ons. They make some amazing resin stuff for that kit. I know that they're currently on hiatus, but I believe there are some other online shops that stock some of their things.

I know someone said the Scooby Doo wagon was already voted in...but I believe there's another kit that may overtake it if the last 3 voters hit Maxsheridan's stash the right way! Dang early reporting of winners!

Just about wrapped up with my voting - only 7 more to go. The limitations of dialup...had to do it in bunches. Grumpy [|(]

Well, I agreed to help Sir IL with posting results once the vote is done tomorrow night.  As a bit of a teaser, I thought I would update y'all on where the races stand thus far (don't worry, I won't reveal the specific kits... just how many are in the runnin'...)

Smeagol the Vile:   27 votes        Race decided

Superbear:            29 votes       2 kits tied at 10, 2 tied at 9 - he REALLY needs #30!

acmodeler:            29 votes       We have a winner!!!

bbrowniii:              29 votes       1 kit at 11; 1 kit at 10 - #30...?  Helloooooo.....

raptordriver:          29 votes       No contest here...

Archangel Shooter: 28 votes       One kit at 13; one kit at 11 - Any hanging chads???

kenny_conklin:       29 votes       And the winner is.....

razordws:             29 votes       Another winner....

arki30:                 29 votes       Race decided... by a significant margin...

Azgaron:              29 votes       2 tied at 10; 2 tied at 9

swingr1121:          29 votes       No contest here...

dupes:                 29 votes       One at 12; one at 11.... 'Dewey Defeats Truman"!!??

btp2k2:               28 votes       one at 10; 4 at eight Shock [:O]

jeff:                    27 votes      one at 10; one at 9; two at 8; three at 7 - OI!! Banged Head [banghead]

SimonL:               27 votes      one at 12; one at 11

Watchman:          27 votes      one at 11; three at 9; one at 8

Summit:              27 votes      one at 11; one at 9; two at 8

TGregory:            27 votes      Hm, yeah.... no contest here either...

BigSmitty:            27 votes     WOW Dinner [dinner]  Was this one ever in doubt...?

Mist086:              27 votes      Race decided

Warhammer25      27 votes       one at 13; two at 11; one at 10

Glamdring            27 votes       one at 10; one at 9; one at 7

ollie:                  27 votes       two at 13

dirtball:              26 votes       one at 10; three at 8; one at 7; two at 6

IL2windhawk:      26 votes       There can be only ONE

MaxSheridan:      27 votes       one at 13; one at 12; one at 10

*Hella-Fresh*:    27 votes       One and only one...

sidure:               27 votes       one at 11; one at 10; three at 8

paul_toz:           27 votes        This one is done...

bspeed:             27 votes        one at 10; one at 9; one at 8; two at 7

So, what we see is that, of our 30 entrants, 13 of the races are decided, while 17 still hang in the balance and NEED ALL THOSE MISSING VOTES!!!!

It is a little odd that as you go down the list, the number of voters diminishes...

Well, we shall see what the next 36 hours brings for those of us who are still wondering what our future holds...

Yeah, Bear, your race is one of the interesting ones because so much hangs in the balance for that last voter (wasn't there a movie recently with Kevin Costner - I think- where he has to cast the deciding vote in the presidential election?  Well, its like that.... sorta... Blush [:I])

But, for sheer volume of voter chaos, I think jeff takes the cake.  He still has 7 of his kits that are mathmatically in the running for a win or a tie...

Oh goodness,Angel [angel] no tie for me this year,Party [party]  last year I was sooo sure of the outcome with three votes left I  pulled the kit out and started preliminary actionOops [oops]. But, noooo, when the three votes came in I had to go through the agonizing process of the dreaded tiebreaker voteThumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Down [tdn]. Needless to say I put the "winning" kit back in the stash (where it sits faithfully) and pulled out the kit that was trailing by two with three votes remaining.

Don't be so sure of the vote until my wifeKisses [:X] has finished singing.Headphones [{(-_-)}]

My race is much closer with 28 votes.  One kit at 11 and one mathematically alive at 9.  The other two that were in contention are out with 7 each.  Pity...

Just took a quick run through the voting site and I am happy to report that some of the races seem to be clearing up.  For example, now that he is up to 28 votes, Jeff only has 6 kits still in contention!!!! Could we have a six way tie???  Better set the table and get ready to dig in...!!!Dinner [dinner]

I did checked out Cobra Co. this morning and this was posted on their web site...

"Effective November 13, 2008, Cobra Company is no longer accepting orders.

We should be back open for business in the near future and thank you for your patience and your business. The Cobra Company Staff"

The first time I wanted to order something from them and they shut down Banged Head [banghead]

At least I was able to find the Eduard interior set which looks pretty good.
