Ya know, I was a little worried about our fearless leader.  For awhile I thought "cripes, he's gonna have to build another boat!"

I believe that might have pushed him over the edge.  Wink [;)]

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

Upcoming:

1/48 Revell F-14D

I hear ya, arki.  Although, from what I have seen, that kit that he will be building isn't any pushover either...

Just noted another trend in the exit polling thus far:

Of the 13 votes that were decided as of my review earlier today:

9 are building aircraft

3 are building ships/subs

1 is building a car

For cryin' out loud, is any armor going to get built in this thing...??

Dupes, it looks like you and I could be building the same kit if the votes stay the way they are now. That will be an interesting GB for us I think.

Someone is being a bum here, almost everybody above Jeff has 29 votes, and everyone below 28.

Please go back and double check that you have voted for **everyone.**  Even if nothing among the choices interests you... Whistling [:-^]

In theory my armor could still be knocked out if the last two votes were to actually come in too.

I just went back over the list just to be sure and I did voted for each member....Shades of Minnisota!! Are we going to need a recount? Whistling [:-^]

I know the rules here are set for this build but here's a suggestion for maybe next year build.   Build 2 kits, one that has the most votes and the other that got 0 votes. Opposite ends of the voting scale.

Yeah, you better believe it! Still hoping that mystery 30th voter casts his ballot in time...I could end up with a tie.

Guess I should start trying to track down that Cobra Company resin set - or hope that they reopen some time soon! Shock [:O]

I thought you had the NTS upgrade already?

As for the short votes, I don't know if it matters that much. When the polls close, the highest tally wins. What I'm wondering about are the ties... does everyone vote again between the 2 (or more) kits that are tied?

Yup, if you have kits that are tied (no matter how many) we all get to vote on the AGAIN!!  Shades of Florida in 2000!!!  Depending how tight the tie is, we might need to set up our own 'Supreme Court' to reach a decision... Laugh [(-D]

As already answered several times, for those wondering what we do in case of tie, we have a tie-breaker vote.

We've had one for the previous two IMS GB's, so this is sort of expected.

However, here's something to bake your noodle.  In the last IMS, the tie-breaker vote didn't necessarily resolve anything.  We actually had tie votes in the tie-breaker. Banged Head [banghead]  I seem to recall T Gregory was one of the unfortunates who had that issue.  In the end, Kenny had to toss a coin and pick one!

The aggravating issue for me is the discrepancy in the number of votes cast for each person.  Same issue last year right down to the wire.  I recall one person never did vote, only to show up much later wondering what he'd missed. Banged Head [banghead]

Ah, good times.

Well, I agreed to help Sir IL with posting results once the vote is done tomorrow night.  As a bit of a teaser, I thought I would update y'all on where the races stand thus far (don't worry, I won't reveal the specific kits... just how many are in the runnin'...)

Smeagol the Vile:   27 votes        Race decided

Superbear:            29 votes       2 kits tied at 10, 2 tied at 9 - he REALLY needs #30!

acmodeler:            29 votes       We have a winner!!!

bbrowniii:              29 votes       1 kit at 11; 1 kit at 10 - #30...?  Helloooooo.....

raptordriver:          29 votes       No contest here...

Archangel Shooter: 28 votes       One kit at 13; one kit at 11 - Any hanging chads???

kenny_conklin:       29 votes       And the winner is.....

razordws:             29 votes       Another winner....

arki30:                 29 votes       Race decided... by a significant margin...

Azgaron:              29 votes       2 tied at 10; 2 tied at 9

swingr1121:          29 votes       No contest here...

dupes:                 29 votes       One at 12; one at 11.... 'Dewey Defeats Truman"!!??

btp2k2:               28 votes       one at 10; 4 at eight Shock [:O]

jeff:                    27 votes      one at 10; one at 9; two at 8; three at 7 - OI!! Banged Head [banghead]

SimonL:               27 votes      one at 12; one at 11

Watchman:          27 votes      one at 11; three at 9; one at 8

Summit:              27 votes      one at 11; one at 9; two at 8

TGregory:            27 votes      Hm, yeah.... no contest here either...

BigSmitty:            27 votes     WOW Dinner [dinner]  Was this one ever in doubt...?

Mist086:              27 votes      Race decided

Warhammer25      27 votes       one at 13; two at 11; one at 10

Glamdring            27 votes       one at 10; one at 9; one at 7

ollie:                  27 votes       two at 13

dirtball:              26 votes       one at 10; three at 8; one at 7; two at 6

IL2windhawk:      26 votes       There can be only ONE

MaxSheridan:      27 votes       one at 13; one at 12; one at 10

*Hella-Fresh*:    27 votes       One and only one...

sidure:               27 votes       one at 11; one at 10; three at 8

paul_toz:           27 votes        This one is done...

bspeed:             27 votes        one at 10; one at 9; one at 8; two at 7

So, what we see is that, of our 30 entrants, 13 of the races are decided, while 17 still hang in the balance and NEED ALL THOSE MISSING VOTES!!!!

It is a little odd that as you go down the list, the number of voters diminishes...

Well, we shall see what the next 36 hours brings for those of us who are still wondering what our future holds...

Hey guys, thought I'd give you today's exit polls.  I'm only going to do those folks at the bottom of the list that did not have 29 votes, since only their results could be changed (by the way, anyone get 30 votes yet...?).  The only exception is, if your race was decided already, I did not bother to update it.  Yesterday's results remain, with today's update below

btp2k2:               28 votes       one at 10; 4 at eight Shock [:O]

29 votes       We have a winner!! (and, go figure, another aircraft...)

jeff:                    27 votes      one at 10; one at 9; two at 8; three at 7 - OI!! Banged Head [banghead]

28 vote       Six kits still in contention: one at 10; two at 9; three at 8

SimonL:               27 votes      one at 12; one at 11

                          28 votes      Same-oh, same-oh...

Watchman:          27 votes      one at 11; three at 9; one at 8

28 votes      one at 11; FOUR tied at 9...

Summit:              27 votes      one at 11; one at 9; two at 8

28 votes      one at 11; two at 9

Warhammer25      27 votes       one at 13; two at 11; one at 10

28 votes       one at 13; one at 12; one at 11

Glamdring            27 votes       one at 10; one at 9; one at 7

28 votes        one at 11; one at 9

ollie:                  27 votes       two at 13

28 votes       one at 14; one at 13

dirtball:              26 votes       one at 10; three at 8; one at 7; two at 6

27 votes       one at 11; one at 9; two at 8

MaxSheridan:      27 votes       one at 13; one at 12; one at 10

28 votes       one at 14; one at 12

sidure:               27 votes       one at 11; one at 10; three at 8

                        28 votes       two at 11

bspeed:             27 votes        one at 10; one at 9; one at 8; two at 7

28 votes       one at 10; two at 9

As you can see, the most recent voting activity has decided only one additional race.  It has, however, tightened up several others.

Where are those missing voters??!!

Ah, good times.

I'm with you arki.  I especially can't wrap my noggin around why the guys lower down on the list are trending one vote short compared to the guys at the top.  It doesn't really make a lot of sense to me.

I remember now that one 'non-voter' from last year.  Wish I remembered who it was to see if he is in the GB this year... and if he has voted! Evil [}:)]

Bear,

Hate to break it to you, but you are still one short - well I think you are.  When I check, it shows that you have 29 votes.  Do you see that you have 30?  If so, that is great because maybe it means mystery voter has arrived.  If it is stuck at 29, then you are in the same boat I am - waiting... waiting... waiting...

Went back in time and checked the IMS2 vote and the person who missed the vote is not participating this year.
