Damn them both, Wingus Dingus! Wheres the Scotch?

Frank, as for blowing stuff out your nose, well.....No im not going there.

Summit. Good man, A-. It would have been A+ but for the lip. Excellent pic. Frank diod you ever find that pic of the RE plane over the airport. Ive seriously searched everywhere and no sign.

Aaron you lovely man, where do you get all these wonderfull reference photos from. That last one looks distinctly home grown. You said you had 'Party problem' where they at your party? If so no wonder you had to keep order.

Summit. For the wonderfull picture you can pic our RE related homework.

Well I will admit Wingus was here last night with the wet towel but I have no idea where Dingus and her wet towel are. I thought they came as a set but apparently not.Did you check under the bed Aaron? By the way I'm sending you the doctor bill Aaron I thing I tore something in my elbow. That towel is heavy when it is wet! Guy I would be carefull Dingus could be on her way over to your side of the pond. Party on dudes!

Aaron if you want your towel back just send me your addy and I will be happy to return it. Though it is pretty frayed and worn out.

We will now return to your scedueled and much more appopriate programing.

Hey ho, my pc is still giving me jip so its no pics OF MY NEW PURCHASES!!!!!
Ive bought a PCM Macchi 205 in 1/32 and the Classic Airframes CR42. Crusher, if youve not sent the decals yet, hang on to them as the kit has 4 different schemes. One of them being a day fighter. Woo hoo.
Any hoo, where were we up to with the towel slapping?

Guy the decals were send out Friday. I sent you enough decals to model four different aircraft all of which are yellow noses birds. Mabye you will prefer them over the kit options. If not then just add them to you stash or pass them on. I still have plenty others to chose from. As for the wet towel I overnighted it back to Aaron so if you want to borrow it just ask him. Carefull though that thing is dangerous! Hope you are felling better soon and keep your cup full of medicine!

Man that is tough. I hope you are on the downslope of that cold. It seems very odd to come home and not see a post by Guy to liven things up. Don't you wonder what he is doing now?

On second thought, best we don't know.

Not me, I will take the punishment over homework.

Wow I really like that Fiat, if I didnt have so many kits already I would be looking to order that one up. I really have a soft spot for the two wingers used during WWII.

Guy - I know nothing about reformating Dead [xx(] - I would just go by another myself . Tuesday is my scheduled day to work on my Macchi's. I have enough GB's going that I have set up one day a week for different builds. Should keep things from getting stale at the bench.

Well I started on the Re 2000 tonight. I removed most of the resin bits from thier casting blocks except for the fiddly bits. I cleaned up the two fuselage halves and checked the fit which was prertty good. I noticed on the front of the left cowl half a funny mark. It turns out the mark lines up with the edjector pin markings on the inside. The kit was removed from the mold to early and the edjector pin pushed a slight bump on the outside of the fuselage. One more thing to sand down and rescribe. Fitted the wheel well inserts and they fit pretty nice though there is not much detail. Going to see if I can find and pics and see if they are enclosers or if there should be some exposed wiring or plumbing. Tomorrow I plan on building the resin engine which is quite nice and add some extras. Then back to the Me  109 G-14 for the seam filling and sanding.

Guy I am hoping to see some progress on that Cr 42 soon buddy. No pressure thoughBig Smile [:D]

Great score Guy!  Love the lines on the 205, wish I had one of those in the stash.  I have the 1/48 Hasegawa 202, but never got my mitts on one of the Veltros.  Those things are as rare as hen's tteth on this side o' the pond.

Sorry you had to reboot your computer, and you lost your Johnny Horten CD!  As for me, I'm "North!  To Alaska..." Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I'm in. I was able to get my hands on a Classic Airframes 1/48 SM.79 and it arrived today. It may take a little work, the kit's missing the photoetch fret, but should be fun!

Excellent job SC, you may be the 1st to post some actuall work. You never know there may be Ninja points to be awarded.

Frank, i havent a clue who Johnny Horton is, thats that Bleeding Macneal again LOL. More homework i feel LOL.

Hot-Pb, welcome aboard. And what an excellent choice of plane. That kit has spuddoodles of detail in it. It will be interesting to see what you can do with it. If i havent already welcomed you to the forum then i do it now...Welcome, come on in the waters lovely, but Aaron's probably peed in it, so dont open your mouth.

Well! Guy made me eat only beans and beer for 3 days! Put me in the pool and told me to make bubbles so he could call it a jacuzzi. Works pretty good but remember your nose clips.

Got a package today fellers!

I blew up the Box art for a ref pic

Two options as far as markings

The parts are your basic Hasegawa G model but there are additional resin stuff I guess to convert it to a G-4? Pretty cool.

I'd get out the pool now and work on it,,, but all the towels are wet! Yuck [yuck]

Nice score there Aaron. That is a sweet kit she is going to look great. I had a present waiting for me when I arrived home today. My 1/48 Classic Airframes Cr 42. I harrased Guy into building one so I decided to join him so he would not be lonely when he build his. I am hoping this kit goes easier on me the second time around. I am not going to start it until I finish my 109 and Re 2000 though.

Aaron If I would have known you were in the pool I would have dryed off the towel before I sent it back with Wingus. You can never have to many towels! That goes for socks and underwear too!

Aw, heck, Guy. If you're running the GB it's gotta be trouble. I'm in! If you'll have me, that is. My oldest boy got me the 1/72 Tamiya (Italeri re-box) of the MC202 Folgore and I'll need all the help I can get with my first Italian bird.

I've got a few builds to finish, but if I qualify, count me in!

Ah time for me to earn my keep again! No more beer and beans please. Had chile for dinner. The Jacuzzi should be bubbling away soon!

Here are a couple more ref pics I dug up. Dog gone it Frank I can't find any pic of the plane buzzing the tower at the airfield to surrender> Banged Head [banghead]

Thanks SC! I am pretty well thinking the only option is to try to do that awful mixed up leftover paint scheme. The Sand yellow over blue is the easiest but I wann at least try to make something ugly! That's the one I think of when mentioning a RA 109.

Here is all I have on your Kit. Probably seen it but I like the color scheme. Multi colored!

Welcome to the GB Hot-Pb! The CA Sm-79 is a sweet kit. I was going to build mine but I have to many other GB going to devote the time it would take to do it justice. I can't wait to see how it goes together for you.

Thanks Aaron those markings are the ones that Classic Airframes includes with the kit believe it or not. Pretty cool but I always like to go OOB for the decals usally. I sent Guy some of my stash of Cr 42 decals but I still have about 10 other option to pick from. I have the Squadron book on the Cr 32/42 and it has alot of nice photos. If anyone is looking for reference pics on just about any Regia Aeronautica WWII subject just ask and I probally have somthing. Here is a great shot of a restored Cr 42 in those markings.
