The pit is just a tub with a seat molded into it, no stick, no pedals, no point due to the thickness of the canopy.
I've already sprayed it black, so all the recesses are black. All I'll do now is apply the Nakajima interior green sprayed straight down, so that the recesses remain in shadow, then just dry brush the edges with a lighter colour.
The only other additions to the pit will be tape belts and a head rest cushion on the pylon behind the pilot.
I sprayed the airframe Tamiya Nato black last night to get an idea of any imperfections as this is going to be an NMF finish, which I rarely do.
Having done that, I remembered I'd knocked off both of the inner flap actuators, and needed to replace them.
I tried a couple of things, but settled on filing a slot in the wing, then inserting some strips of plasticard to represent the actuators. This resulted in a strong attachment, allowing me to sand them to shape.
Once I'd one this I applied a coat of Tamiya gloss black which has shown I still need to tidy up the actuators a little, however the rest of the seams look good.
