oldhooker Thanks, the magnifed pictures don't look as good, I just see the paint flaws!

Now OCC is finished I can keep the badge? Cool the Me-262 is finished once the canopy is painted. Probally will lightly tack it on for completion pictures and remove to add a pilot later on.

Done accept the pilot tube and display base. Decided against the pilot as can't see much in the cockpit anyways All minor flaws aside it was a fun build and I will post some decent outdoor shots in a day or two. That being said im keeping the badge LOL

Outstanding work suppression, really nice weathering!!!!    The natural light shots just wake up the whole scene!  

Please forgive me for doing so, but I couldn't help playing with that top picture a little bit after reading what you wrote about the pilot figure...

oldhooker Ahh gnarly! Thanks for cleaning it up and adding a pilot. I came up with camoflage for the wires today. Waiting for the engraveing shop to whip up a plate for the custom base. 'OCC & mini Me' After that (hopefully tomorow) I will post better in-flight pictures weather depending and some cool looking clouds.

Looking at your custom computer drawings I would say you are a fisherman in spare time? Better than what I origionaly thought 'old hooker' ment.

   I do enjoy fishing, but the origin of my username relates to my Military career; which in one way or another was associated with the CH-47 Chinook helicopter the entire time.     "Hooker" is a common nomenclature given to those in such capacity, and since I am now retired and old, I felt the oldHooker would be appropriate.

Very nice B-2. Looks good with the recessed lines. I will have pictures hopefully by tomorrow. I built mine with the wheels up. It actually looked better with the decals added. I am sure you felt the same as me. (total pain in the a#@!)

My first entry finished: Pegasus: War of the Worlds. I've been away from model building for awhile but overall I'm fairly pleased with the results. Of course the usual comedy of errors happended but then again that's par for the course on just about any project!

I forgot to mention that I added some soldiers that Pegasus produces in 1/144. I thought they would help to add a bit more scale comparison to the rest of the model.

That finish on the martian ships is pretty dang sweet!  The tanks and the whole diorama came with the kit I take it? (minus the figures that is)

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, the diorama base is included in the kit as well as the tanks. The finish on the Martian War Machines was Testors Copper in a rattle can. Several light coats did the trick. One note of interest is that the kit is made from ABS plastic, so MEK based cements won't work for assembly. I used super glue and 5-min. epoxy.

Nice build on the B-2! I have this kit in my stash and after reading your comments about the kit's shortcomings,I'll let it sit there for awhile longer. I might consider the DML/ Dragon B-2 / F-117 combo kit in 1/200 scale.

Sorry for the long delay! Here is my completed B-2 Revell. The kit requires a lot of work to get it together with any decent finish. I can only hope that DML comes out with one. There kits are great in this scale.

I have that kit War of the Worlds kit in my stash, so it was nice to see it built up.  I see that you opted not to install the "laser blasts" included in the kit.  Did you have any additional work to perform on the tanks without having those parts installed?

Although I have not checked in lately, I am still progressing on the Harriers.  I am currently in the process of installing the landing gear and ordnance as both planes are painted, decaled, and sealed at this point.  I am hoping to wrap things up this weekend if all goes well.  I did manage to take a couple of in progress photos early to show the pilots in place, but I still need to download them to Photobucket to post them here.

Those are some great builds so far!   I am hoping not to drag down the level of quality too far with my entries.

Thanks for the kind words. The tanks were built stock since the laser blast effect is molded in such a way that if you leave it off, there's no issues with the tank parts themselves. The laser parts went into the spare parts bin. Word of warning, if you plan on eliminating the underside seam on the war machines be prepared to use a lot of elbow grease!

I signed up for this GB but it started to look like i wasn't going to come through.  But I got a commission build of a carrier deck scene with 2 a/c and 2 tractors that I have a Chance to get done by May.  Will that count as 4 for your total?  I'll have more details with the kits arrive.

My Apologies to all for my lack of involvement in my own GB. I had a change of medication in late January, this has given me a side effect of hand tremors that I hoped would dissapear after a few weeks, unfortunately they they have not gone. This has affected my fine painting abilities with anything smaller than 48 scale being problematic, and anything fine on 144 being a damn mess, as such my intrest has waned somewhat. I have been keeping up with all posts, I've just been on the quiet side.

So again my apologies I'm still trying to finish a few builds before the end of time.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the Spring weather. Apologies for my recent lack of activity but school work has kept me very busy. I recently started the Sweet A6M2 and will try to get that finished within the next week and a half. I'm due to have surgery on April 27th, and since I'll be recuperating for awhile it doesn't look like I'll make my third build by the closing date. Anyone else making progress on their build / builds?

Hi guys,

I haven't been really participating in the GB. I just started an MBA and it was to busy for me. But this weekend was my first weekend of so I did my best and build the whole thing. I used CA glue since the plastic dragon uses did not react to sovlvent glues. I brush painted the models using Andrea and GW paints. It was a very quick build so I forgot WIP pics....sorry.

Here is the end result using my phone camera. I wil take some better pics later.

RW, love to see some pics of the A6M2. As for the build total, I wouldnt worry.

Well I have completed ONE of my builds (which actually started off as a pair). I started the F-86 (-30 and -40) a while ago while I was waiting for some small files to arrive back in stock at my LHS. Only managed one work in progress shot I apologise. Then the F-86-40 had is undercarriage modified from down to crash landed, thanks to one of my wonderful kids was only awaiting decals and touch-up paint . Well heres my one WiP and finished pics

Noticed I need to finish the tires, close enough but basically finished.
