Simpilot thanks for posting those pictures, I always like the detail shots. But I do have a question, whats the hub setup on the main gear ? I have never seen that before.
Jmabx that bay looks good to my eye, and I think a bit of a wash would bring it to life. Nice work on the details.
Julez come on you know you want the Buffalo it has your name on it and whispers to ya each time you walk into the store After all yellow wings are cool, gotta have one on the shelf. No problem with the change buddy, I will update the front page this evening.
To answer your question Julez, I had lots of trouble applying the bondo to my models with voids and an over all slopppy looking job. So I thought I used to use bondo on cars doing body work, why not do it in miniture ? So I took a wooden chopstick and my microsaw and cut a slice in the end of it about a 1/4 inch deep. Then some thin plasticard and some ca glue. Heres what I ended up with. It does soften the plastic card but it only takes a few minutes to make another one if needed. Another neat thing is you can shape them too for corners or most shaped you would need to apply the bondo.
A small plastic spatula like the larger ones I used on cars the, full size ones LOL. I tried a metal trowel and that didn't work very well. As you can see from the tail in the picture it worked well with no voids and only needed minimal sanding to smooth out. Hope this helps you out
DoogsATX what a great idea for a group build man ! " What If They Had Yellow Wings " Would love to see an F-14 or any modern fighter with yellow wings, way cool.
