CN, Kirk & SF,

Thanks,

Here is a pic that should show you my evil plan as to how I am going to paint this little bugger!

As for the color scheme, ti will be Panzer Grau.

PANZERJAGER

P.S. It may take another day before I get to paint.

My pontoon boat ate it's fuse block with the associated re-wiring job.

PANZERJAGER,

My favorite version of the 38(t).

The re-bored Soviet 76.2mm 36(r) anti-tank gun to accept German 75mm pac 40 ammunition was highly successful. Even with the 1.2mm difference in bore the penetration power was less than 10mm at 1000m through a armor plate set vertical. This conversion is the ultimate expression of German ingenuity & necessity.

Looking good PANZER. Just curious, how are you going to paint it? Are the parts all glued together or is it a dry run?

Cheers...

Great looking progress fellas!|

I done went & forgot to pack my 1/144 scale DML 38(t) ! Doh! It was found & I can have it mailed out. So much to do and a bit of haste leaving caused the mistake. Hopefully I can get it here by August! Its less than 12 parts including PE. That should only take me about 48 hours to assemble, scratch build a few parts & paint.

The SiG on my Grille is slowing down my progress greatly. I admire what Dragon  has done in making everything scale thickness but this has gotten out of hand. Some on the fittings for the gun are so thin there is almost no where to glue things together.I'm moving back to the chassis and will come back to the gun later....

Gentlemen,

Should I do some chipping too? I am thinking maybe some gray chipping with a sponge.

I'd say absolutely!  The crew is kicking around in their, scuffing everything up.  Scratches would be a good idea.

And also as I was going to post pics of the Italeri Hetzer, which built up nicely by the way.Absolutely vowed to make this OOB.The exception would be something other than the rubber band tracks.

The upper fighting compartment has only recieved a first coat of yellow ochre..Any comments are welcome.Yes

Gentlemen,

Here is some progress for the past two weeks. I asume that the interior is white or some off-white colour and that it is dirty. So I dry brushed it with a bit of black.  Should I do some chipping too? I am thinking maybe some gray chipping with a sponge.

Thanks for comments.

Cheers....

So am I the only one working their entry so far? Huh? This doesn't bode well for getting builds done before the deadline lol.

I've been mostly working on my TIger conversion but I did manage to start the SiG 33 for my Bison M today. I'll get some pics up once I complete more of it.

I've decided to leave out the transmission and engine on this one since I had no plans to open it up. I'm burned out on interiors after a Stuart I recently finished. Wink

I started Dragon's Grille M tonight. I've made good progress on the hull and I plan to post pictures later tonight after I throw a coat of paint on a Tiger I ARV conversion I'm working on.

Yeah i know i have to start armour at some stage, i consider modeling to be like linear progression with one thing leading to another and i think i'm up to the point where my builds are good enough to start making scenes...I'd like to start with figures and small vignettes and eventually start making dioramas....I have in 1/48 a Tamiya Feisler storch and Rommels halftrack but i'd like to add an Afrika Korps Marder111 and i think the 1/48 stuff would be a good intro into armour......

I'll give it a go....Put me down for a Marder 111Yes or something that fits into the timeline/theatre....

Hmmm i'm still not sure about this one, would love a 38t Marder111 and i like the one with the 20mm flak gun but Armour is something completely out of my comfort zone, never done it before.....decisions decisions...

Heh buddy, if you can produce excellent MNF finishes on your P-51's then a dirty old' tank will be a break for you! Armor is a very forgiving type of model to build, you seen the few kit flaws I hid in my 1/48 Sherman...er missing one of the main sprue frames.

Its all good & fun to build something that shoots at planes this time! I always liked the Flak version of the 38(t) If a tank hunter is more your liking build the version with the Soviet 76.2mm pac 36(r) anti-tank gun!
