Hi everyone ,
The workmanship and finished builds are just awesome
I dropped out of a number of group Builds a few months back because of family commitments , however this week I have a little extra time on my model builds and after checking with the Hunting After Dark , Squadron Leader...gregbbear ; I would like to join in with Testors 1/72 B-57G Night Intruder Canberra.
I've wanted to build one of these birds for a long time now and after paying a small fortune from a second hand dealer , I finally got one . I also decided to use Cobra Company's B-57 resin cockpit tub and seats.
I started by cutting the lower wing flaps from the wings and mask the wheel wells and gear doors for a few coats of chromate ;
The resin tub fits nicely into the fuselage halves with just a little filing on the sides for a good fit ;
I remebered to add plenty of nose weight ;
With the wing sections glued together , I then decided to cut the flaps from the rear tail planes to pose those in the lowered position ;
The fuselage halves are ready to glue together along with the wings ;
Everything fits without any major issue's ;
Underside view ;
I'm really pleased with how the B-57 has come together it has been a quite enjoyable build so far .
I'll sand the seams next and add putty where it's needed , then add some of the smaller parts and get ready to mask her for airbrushing .
Thanks for looking and everbody's work is really top notch .
John .
