I'd like to apologize to my recipient for any amateurish packaging and/or card (which I custom made instead of leaving it to the professionals, and therefore did poorly).  On the other hand, I think you'll find the contents very much to your liking.  Hope, anyway. :)

[UPDATE: Santa informs me the package is now about 4/5ths of the way to its recipient.  Woot!]

Wanted to let everyone know what a good day today was.  First, I got my package sent out and when I returned I had a package on the doorstep for me.  Funny how that all worked out.  Hope everyone is doing well and that our friends in the midwest aren't buried in too much snow.

We got a few inches, that's all.  Just enough for them to cancel my Daughters school.....  Argh!!!

We got a good foot of snow, maybe a bit more. Work sucked last night so I pretty much slept all day to prepare for tonight. I will try to get to the post office tomorrow.

Meanwhile here in Denver, we are 47 degrees at 10:15pm, and not even a snowflake in the air {unless you travel 45 minutes west into the mountains}.  Talk of 60+ degree temps Tuesday.

I want a white Christmas!!!!  My wife and daughter want it even more!!!!  Damm 'La Nina' weather patern.....

Well, we get summer here too, it just doesn't happen at the same time of year (if that made sense..)  Besides, you don't have to go driving through the snow, slush and ice to get your Xmas shopping done like we do.  So there are a few positives.  Of course, we don't drive to do out shopping.  There is nothing that cannot more easily be gotten on eBay than in a mall.

I know, its torture for sure! I personally appreciate the note that came with it. I did not have time to do the same for my guy (ended up working a different shift than expected for awhile), BUT the gift has been sent!

My friend is nagging on my to open it, which is not helping by any means... should have just left it in the fedex box Confused

Santa just dropped off my gift today, and just in time, too.  Had a really rotten past 24 hrs and this brightened things considerably. :)

Funny, I was just thinking about doing something like that recently.  I suggest the arctic camo pattern on the Steyrs used in COD: Black Ops.  Maybe add a laser sight too if you can get an old dollar store laser pointer.

Thats the best part, IT COMES WITH ONE (laser pointer)

I was thinking more steampunk styles. brass and copper with mechanisms poking out.

Like the bottom one, which is the one ive got.

Given that its a pistol, I'll agree with you this time, but before you start, don't neglect the idea of maybe a 50's ray gun design?  Just a thought. :)

So i'm just wondering, is there an official roster for this yet? or is that something we have to wait for?

I certainly wont my good man. Hmmm, i wonder if you can extend the barrels without affecting the performance of these?

Ah! Ah! Extend the barrel(s), you say?  If it's a ray gun, the barrel should be capped with a sort of expanding cone anyway, not a straight narrow barrel.  That'd add extra length (sort of) without interfering with any projectiles!

good plan. hmmm, chrome spray from the hardware store should suffice for the bodywork, some red and blue on the details. A few "cooling fins" and itle look very 50's ray gunish.

Don't forget some alternating copper stripes (maybe on the cooling fins) to top it off.  Look around at old pulp magazine and/or films for ray gun prototype ideas. :)
