Here's my little favorite.

Nice six shooter.....like to take that to the carnival.....

It'll be nice if I ever get the darn thing finished.  I'm still waiting on Hasegawa for the replacement parts.  Probably just as well.  I've been sick as a dog since I got up this morning.  Either I picked up something or I ate something nasty..  I haven't been able to get a darn thing done on my projects.  I keep having to run to the bathroom...

Frustration!

Another encounter with the F#@*&g carpet monster  and it looks like he may have won this one! I was working on the canopies tonight and I was painting up and getting ready to mount the actuators. I was holding the front one with my fine tweezers, and went to do a trial fitting! It suddenly popped loose from my grip and, as if in slow motion, watched as it first hit my shirt, dropped down to then bounce off my left leg, and then downwards to the floor. A half hour laying on my belly with a flashlight did not restore the part to me! Curse you, Carpet Monster! and I know that it is in cahoots with the tweezers!

I'll get you both for this!

Hey jimbot, I have found a weapon that will vanquish the Carpet Monster...

Have a look at this from Micromark. You will never have to crawl about on your hands and knees again.

Jim  What kit brand and part number was it.  I have a bunch of non repairable F4s after the great soon to be demised cat incident, that are now spare parts kits; and I might have the part you need.

I used clear packing tape like I was cleanng the lint off a suit to find a couple of small items.  It can be a bit tedious, but it does pick up some interesting things.

I do appreciate your kind offer, but it is Hasegawa in 1/72 scale and I believe you are a builder of that 'other' scale? I will search a bit more and probably either scratch it or, for the time being, borrow it  from the "F" so I can get this build done. I have this idea about putting a mesh bag inside the vacuum nozzle.....

Yeh, I can barely see 1/72 parts anymore, let alone build them. Sorry.  Use cheesecloth on the end of a good vacuum.  Much safer than mesh.

My best ever lost'n'found:

I dropped the tail-gun-pod assembly for a BUFF on the basement floor, about 9 years ago, please remind me if I'm lying again, I looked everywhere, rather obsessive about that, and over the next three years gave it up. Sold the house about 2006.

Was packing up the basement stuff, and finally got around to a stamped steel shelf stand, still have it, and there, two shelves up, in a nooked corner at the front of the unit, was the pod.

I didn't even know I could play basket ball! Little bastige bounced about 20 inches....prawley too buzzed on MEK to hear the final landing at the time.....

The upright angle iron is a "W" crosssection, so I couldn't see it. I spent more time suffering to search for that sucker than I did cutting the aluminum spars for the wings.

Surprise! I didn't know whether to throw a party or pull out the M-80's.....Glad I didn't drive the M80 highway, it's a nice chunk of plastic and it still hangs, unfinished, from my workroom ceiling.

My pooch, "Zorro, The Destroyer of Civilization" yeah, he thinks he's Rottweiler...lol....I cal hi "Z Dog......"

He hasn't destroyed any F-4s yet, not bad,......actually....lol....
