Oh they look beautiful! And there are enough serials there for me to do ANY of the Mirage IIIEAs. Only tail badges for one build. But the sheet includes LOTS of extras... kill marks, national insignia, serial numbers.... very very nice and worth the cost. Some of the translation into English was a little rough I think, and due to the large volume of aircraft profiles and historical info on some I think a few others were short changed on historical background information.

Thanks, i am looking forward to seeing Helo's Argetin Chinook.

I have seen Hannants now have the 48th and 72nd Aztec decals sets and they both say part 1. I didn't realise these sets had both Argentin and British. Some very nice schemes on those sets.

Hi there,

I have sterted my 1/48 Dagger.

I am using a Mirage III CJ from Hobbyboss and a resin conversion set from Aconcagua.

The interior is nicely represented, but I din´t botter too much, just some dryburshing.

The fit is quite good, but you have to have some experience before you cut a kit like this.

I glued the wings yesterday (more pics tomorrow), but sadly one of the engine intakes is lost, I am working to get a replacement as soon as posible.

cheers,

Jere

ps: Looking good bish!

That's looking like an interesting one Jere.

That Chinook must be getting close now Bish,

I need to get back to my Sea harrier, just finishing off a couple of airlines in another GB, then it'll reappear here.

Do we have an end date for this GB, I know the original one passed by and we decided to extend. It seems like it might still have some months to run :)

Cheers

Tony

Yep, its getting very close now. Been working flat out on it. I don't think we have given an end dated. There still seems plenty of interest, thanks in part to those new decals. I think we can just leave it open ended untill all who are in now have finished.

Vance, what do you think.

Jere , excellent start on the Mirage III CJ

Bish , the chinook is looking great as well  .

I've masked my Argentine Chinook but haven't started the paint as yet . I got a little side tracked on some Skyraiders , Banshee's and Panther's this past fortnight for the Korean War ; Plus the weather has been a little showery these past few day's , so I've used that as an excuse not to paint . Hopfully soon though .

Great work everyone .

My paint booth is located inside , so there really is  no excuse for not painting , with 40 on-going builds , I get easierly distracted and end up from switching from one build to the other and back & forth . I'll aim to have some paint laid down on the Chinook by the end of the week .

I think this site must be keeping Aztec in buisness.

Chinook Mk 2 was finished the other night. The guy i built it for was well pleased with it. His uncle was in the REME, as is the lad i built it for. His uncle was also in the Falklands during the campaign. But he died a couple of years ago. So my mate is going to give this to his grandad.

Thanks for looking, and thnaks to all you guys for makeing this a great GB. And i know theres more great builds to come.
