....dunno why ORD decided to move the -3 Wildcat inside the airport secure zone.Sad

Used to be accessible without needing to pass through security.

Would have been nice if a raised platform had been included in the display.

Not possible to snap photos of the Wildcat topside without very long arms.....

well with computer flight simulators giving bad guys at home the ability to learn to fly one... if it can be seized, restored airworthy and armed it could create havoc over the air traffic corrdors of the area... at least that is what someone at Homeland Security probably thought to order the move...Hmm

New card reader on it's way from Ebay, so hopefully (fingers crossed) I can start posting pics again. The F-5 is about 99% done...few final touchups and she goes on the display shelf.

Just a note on my progress. I have the Mustang ready for decals or mostly ready. I should have some decals by the weekend. Sorry for no pictures. Hopefully it will be completed by next week.

Ain't that the poop, when I started the P-51D they decided to put the stamp on the underside of the stabilizer, what fun to sand off. Huh?

At least it wasn't in a spot that showed on the Avenger.  Right now I am waiting to see if some emergency repairs hold on the fuselage.  Marissa (My Daughter) accidentally crushed it putting it into my vise.

if a kid put something into a vise, I wouldn't call it "accidental" crushing.   Hmm

She was using the vise to hold the fuselage together after regluing a seam that let go in the center.  Very old kit, and brittle plastic.  I should have known better than to let her do it but she wanted to so I couldn't say no.  You know how daughters give you THAT face when you are at risk of hurting their feelings.  If it can't be repaired, I have a few other kits.  I really wish the house hunt hadn't fallen through.  Half the problem is lack of available work space.

Aww, Thankee for noticing, Owl.. Ya know, that reminds me of when I was stationed in Germany in '79-'81... I went into Frankfurt on many occasions, since the guys always all said that the female-to-male ratio was 6-to 1...

All I found was that every weekend that I went there???

Some sumb*tch musta had twelve...
