If this GB is open to cars and (insect names).

How about my Monogram 1/25 67 Corvette Stingray? or Dragon 1/35 Sherman Mk.1c Firefly Gybrid?

Maybe both?

See ya, Scott

Yuppers, both of those will be eligible. Shall I put you down for both?

Indeed, good luck on the exams. I believe you mentioned at one time you were a History major? Good stuff. I graduated in '07 as a History major. Lots of good reading and lots of papers to write. I certainly hope you get to do something with it.....I am currently a software tester, ha ha. Not what I had in mind when I was studying back then...but it pays for the kits now so I can't complain.

Good Luck on the exams Owl!!  I too was a History Major, History and Political Science..

Hope you get to use the degree, but if not you may develop or nurture an interest in history and that is always good.

Models as a kid in the 60s got me interested in history.

Have fun with both!!

OWL,

Best wishes and good luck from across the pond as well.Wink

But i must say it doesn't really surprise me to read you are a history major. I think all of us modelers must have an affinity for the subject since we are in a way recreating history with our models. Not only by building them but also think of the research (*ahem*) we do prior to and during a build...

For me i know i always wanted to be a history teacher someday when i was in highschool. Ended up at a college for social studies...Hmm (Dont ask)

Indeed good luck with the exams Owl, I can sorta remember mine....

I feel left out now since I only minored in history and majored in biology (though my job involves mostly chemistry so go figure...) Hmm

Yes, good luck with your History degree OWL.  I truly hope they are teaching you the correct version of it (you can't be so sure anymore). Wink

thanks everyone! I'm only just finishing my second year of school and knocking out all the basic required courses (math, english, etc)--so next year is when I really get into my major!  Stick out tongue

Mom keeps telling me I should try to get an internship/job at teh SAC museum because it combines my love of history with my love of aircraft! They have restorations going on there too.... :)

Sounds like a good idea.  Besides it could be fun and lead into a History job.  You'll enjoy your upper division classes much more than the ones you've taken so far.

Good Luck on the exams Owl!!  I too was a History Major, History and Political Science..

I feel for both of you. I got my 2 BA's in History and Poli Sci back in the mid 1990's. Never once used either. Now, I'm completing an AAS in Computer Networking.

Then again History was my first love, Computers are my current love.

Guess I'm just a (insert oldest profession here.).

I definitely recommend an internship to get your foot in the door with a possible job, before graduation.

Anyway, Good Luck with the exams.

See ya

Well, I couldn't pass up a 50% off coupon from "Michaels" crafts soooo.. I picked up another P-51D (Revellgram for $8).  Decided to build both the Tamiya and Revell 51's at the same time. Looking forward to my own side by side comparison of the kits. So OWL, I submit a stable full of Mustangs entered. Wink

Couldn't wait until 1 May.  Kept looking at the Maus and started on the turret last night. Embarrassed

Got some pictures, nothing thrilling, but typical WIP stuff.  I'll post them later. Camera

I've found, over the years, that its best to succumb to temptation because it may not come my way again. Whistling

That's ok. I'm using a True Details cockpit for my Tomcat and it's already finished. I haven't been working on the Tomcat cause like I said i've gotta finish the Osprey.

I'll try to limit my kit work to researching camo schemes and searching for extra parts in the spares box. ConfusedOops

Again, good luck on your finals.  How many do you have?  Are they still using "Blue Books"?

Got my last academic degree in 1979, so I'm far behind the curve.
