Here's where I am. I finished the sled up, except that it needs a little weathering. They were practiced with quite a bit before the actual mission.

The crew have a base coat of rubber, two lighter coats to highlight the wrinkles, and a base coat of dark brown flesh. Still a lot of painting to do there.

On December 3, 1941 the MAS Decima Flottiglia raided Alexandria Harbor with three manned torpedoes, attaching mines to the battleship HMS Queen Elizabeth, the cruiser HMS Valiant, the Norwegian tanker Sagona and the destroyer HMS Jervis.

The crew that mined the Valiant was forced to surface and captured where they were interned in the hold! Unable to convince their captors that the ship was mined, they somehow survived the explosion, but three ships were sunk, Jervis badly damaged and the other two crews captured as well.

Alrighty, not much imagination happing round here huh?  Well my excuse (in addition to my in-laws and others being here over the holidays Angel) for not getting much done was this......

for the kids of course Wink

Now the "progress" on the Hauptfeldwebel Reasoned Bf 109 Bouchon, ready for the RLM 65.  I found the 20mm cannon on the spru tree for the BoB Bouchon so I'm going to ditch my scratch built cannons.

Okay, shot the colors and took some creative liberties (hey, it's an imagination build Wink), with the decals etc.  As stated earler this is Hauptfeldwebel Reasoned's Bf 109 Bouchon.  I decided on an imaginary combination of a BoB movie Bouchon, flying for the "real" JG 27 unit.  Anyway here's where we are now.  I must say these Academy decals are...... filmy..... like Saran Wrap consistency.

Hauptfeldwebel Reasoned presents the Bf 109 Bouchon that was flown during the BoB film, which depicts the very plane he got 7 kills in one week with, after his promotion, he received the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves Swords and Diamonds, he is rumored to have had more kills than Erich Hartman but in the interest of being a good sport, he let his friend "Bubi" have that title.  It is also widely accepted that he flew aircover for FM Erich von Manstein and is the sole reason for much of his military success.  In the twilight of his life, he went on to a fine acting career.
