I hope I didn't miss the party, I've started my first plane, a Hasegawa Val, that I'd like to contribute. 

Jump right in Maddog, that just happens to be the same plane I'm doing and we're both in Iowa...... wierd but looking forward to your build.

BTW, just got back from Mayo in Rochester MN and my wife's surgery went real well, thanks for the kind words of support.  Time to get back to the bench.  Oh! and while there, picked up the A/M P-51A kit from the LHS there, just couldn't pass it up.

I'm enlisting some help on this build . My son says I need it!

Dry fit looks tight ,Tamiya has done a nice mold on this one. No major gaps at all ,most enjoyable after the Dragon 188 I just finished! There's a hefty weight supplied that goes in the center float,nice touch.

Got a brief start on my N1K1-Ja tonight...separated out pieces that need priming for cockpit duty, and had a fun test-fit session.

Overall, the fit is quite good...

But the wingroots have some nasty gappage. 

Think I might try putting a spreader inside the fuselage to alleviate the worst of it.

Indeed she does and I picked up both versions (must have been identical twins).  Got the Hase and Nichimo Kate sisters (since the Hase didn't have a torpedo).  How can you have a Kate w/o a torpedo?

Lately not so lucky with shipping..... an order of supply from italy lost till two weeks. Really bad thing because i'm almost out of clear coats and some other fundamental color. For the zero i should be covered to finish with actual supplies.

btw this afternoon going with the Matt final cote on the zero and others minus works on

Bsyamato: Those look like nice kits. I've done a few Fujumi and they went together very well.

it's really strange, because in europe actually no normal vendors seems have a good variety of fujimi kits

Probably hasegawa yakuza don't allow fujimi to work here!

I don't expect perfect kits between the fujimi's i brought but for some subject are the only avaible choice in 1/72.

Shipping from japan should take about 15 days, will try to resist

PS today arrived finally supplies from italy ,right in time to use new clear coats ,and zero received already the first matt coat and look good

Lol, you may be right about the Hasegawa yakuza

I've thought they're something like Academy & Otaki kits- not really as great as Tamiya or Hasegawa but still good detail and fit- and cheaper. I did a Fujumi 1/72 Junkers Ju-87 Stuka 'tank-buster' years ago and thought it was a really nice kit.

Glad to see you got your paint so you can keep moving along.

The two bottles are the clear liquids from humbrol, the matt one i removed the safety cap before to shot down too many saints when try to open

The main gears are a really pain for the  strength ... really tiny

and the rest of pieces on! just the propeller is not glued, the wing pitot was replaced with metal rod

tomorrow last retouches and some silver chipping and zero is done
