Thanx guys Toast really appreciated

Yes Cliff, the picture is just to show i've finished to work on it. Also outdoor will allow the contrast between the matt finish and the glossy chipping Yes also will do some comparative picture with my old matchbox zero from 1994 Embarrassed

Now waiting for the Tokyo shipping , want to place at least another two planes out of the mary before the end of the GB

For the Tenzan (jill) i get recently an italian modelling magazine with a good article about an hasegawa one in 1/48 that really inspired me Stick out tongue

Bsyamato: Fantastic!!! Love how you did the paint fading with a brush. And the chipping looks great! Heart

Do you want to wait till you get the outside photos to post one to the front page?

So the Zero is done!

final picture for wip, last scratches with silver and used a 10/0 brush to paint

i tried to show the differences between matt paint and shiny silver with pictures but failed Boo Hoo from real the result is really good!!

so light, and propeller glued and done. Again bad weather don't allow outdoor pictures for now

( Whisper missed to place two metal wires to simulate the out gear indicator on top of wings )

Doogs: Yeah I'll admit to a bit of swooshaphobia too, those odd sharps are such a friggin' pain to mask.

Trey: Looks like you've got another winner on your hands there Yes

Bsyamato thanks, the Zekes real close and looking great. Still amazed that it was brush painted!

Doogs that would be a treat to see ya gotta do it Man!

Rick thanks, plenty of time left wip it out and get it started!

I was able to get the fuse halves joined ,panel lines and rivets rescribed and the office installed. I also got the wings and tail feathers mounted. The only snag was the port wing Dihedral was off so getting it right created a small gap. This was filled with some good ole green putty and smoothed with acetone. Next we'll tackle the floaty things.

Doogs: That Tojo looks awesome, I triple dog dare you to paint her in that scheme!!!

Both the Tojo and the Tony should be great kits. And not all that big even in 1/32nd scale. Congads!

Oh I'll do it! I'm actually thinking of getting masks made off of the decal sheet (it's got decals for the big reg swoosh, the white home defense areas, even for the anti-glare panels). Most of it doesn't really bother me, but that friggin' swoosh...curve like that isn't an easy thing to grapple with!

Gamera

Well guys, we still have till September- six months to go TimeWink

I'm hoping to throw in at least one more aircraft or maybe one of Finemolds IJA tanks before we're done.

I've got a pretty full-ish slate right now, but I'm hoping to maybe put in a 1/32 bird before this GB wraps. Maybe the Tony, or maybe the 40mm Tojo I scored at ModelFiesta:

I want to do the box markings, but I want to mask and paint them. LOL...WTF and I thinking?

positive post!! YesYes

Don't see where's the propeller but the torpedos position is clear Whistling LOL

now just left the other twin and other sisters Stick out tongue

Cliff nice and cheap kits Big Smile The leo 451 bomber comes at 9.80 € and is greater than a he-111, the tank for 5 and the cayuse, even if the litter kit between is the most expensive of the 3!!! but sure need less work for a good finish.

So in the night i'm almost done with the zero

The main gears are a really pain for the  strength ... really tiny

http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp139/bsyamato/modellismo/WW2%20aircraft/a6mb2%20zero%20airfix%207/100_0616.jpg

and the rest of pieces on! just the propeller is not glued, the wing pitot was replaced with metal rod

http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp139/bsyamato/modellismo/WW2%20aircraft/a6mb2%20zero%20airfix%207/100_0621.jpg
