Theuns

Done and dusted!

The paints on the Spitty are Humbrol #30/29 uppers and #90 bottom. Some gun and exhaust stains with pastels and the oil "streaming" form the cowl was painted on.

The kit gives a surprizing amount of stencling and the decals went on very nicely with some Tamiya Mark. All were sealed with Tamiya Clear.

I need to trim the piece of ariel closer to the mast, my peepers seem to be going downhill fast now!Embarrassed

You have room for one more?

I have an Airfix 1/48 Stuka on the bench begging to be built. I have not started it yet so if you'll have me I will pitch it toward this GB.

Ok, I'm calling the Sea Harrier done. This kit really did show it's age, not great fits on joining parts etc. Lots of flash, ejector marks etc. But it did spruce up ok with the Flightpath set (despite the not-so-clear-instructions included). I gave the plane a not so subtle oil wash, I wanted to show a bit of battle grime and the elements out on the aircraft carriers deck.

Cheers

On the bench: A-4F 1/32 Hasegawa

Just deployed: F6F-5N Hellcat Nightfighter 1/48 Eduard

Up next: A6-E Intruder 1/48 Revell

Fansastic jump jet thereBow Down

That frag cord in the canopy looks "the part'! For an older kit you certainly managed to get very good results.

Very very nice build. Can you post a photo of it next to another smaller scale? (eg a 72nd spit if you have one) Just to show the difference in size.

Ive gotten around to finishing the invasion stripes today. I just had some minor leaks with the invasion stripe masks on the top of the wings and the fuselage.

I started my JU-87B Monday. I have the interior painted up and the figures done. I will post pictures later.

I have to say that I am torn on this kit.

Nice raised rivets, and some really nice detail around some areas. The plastic is...well I guess odd is the best way to describe it. It really doesn't work well with Tamiya glue, and I have had to resort to Ambroweld (sp). It responds really well to that.

wow - I think I need to go back a few pages to see what I've missed. (Company AGM was this past weekend - a flurry of prep work beforehand, followed by a bunch of catching up on "real projects"...) So little time for model-related work lately. I have however managed primer coat all over, and RLM 65 undersides on my He177. Crossing my fingers for the topside splinter camo this weekend.

Here are some shots of my JU-87B in work. I don't normally add figures because I suck at them but the lack of detail in the cockpit area meant I had to add them.  I added the O2 line and the fire extinguisher lines. Don't know or care how accurate they are just adding interest to the pit.

Griffin: Thanks for the compliment...figures make me nervous, glad you like them.

bsyamato: No the kit is the 1/48...I wish I could paint that small if it was 1/72 Wink

Alex: Thanks for the compliment.
