Looks like a fun kit, Tony.   Those Quickboost resin bits are certainly nice.

Bit more progress on the Tiffie, it's ready for a wash and some paint now. I cut out the kit exhausts, which were ordinary, and inserted some Quickboost ones. You can see how I had to add some plastic strip to fix where I butchered it in the close up.

It's got a CMK cockpit set. It's didn't fit to owell, as it was too bulky to fit between the wheel wells and prevented the wing from joining to the fuselage. I used my Dremel to grind quite abit of resin of the set, and some plastic off the inside of the  wheel wells.

I can't start working on my jug untill next weekend, so I wont be able to finish my entry in this GB, if there is no extention (I want to work my way through it really slow)

I'm gonna try and get this thing done in time after a very late start, but it might be difficult as I have some more business travel coming up in between.

Here's what you get, including the CMK cockpit set for it.:

I've also bought this kit, to use the D-Day scheme from it. The rest of it will feature in a later build.

The scheme I want is the one on the left.

And a little bit of progress, in between building and painting my Draken. I've drilled out the spent shell ejection chutes, which were molded as shallow depressions, and flattened the tyres.

I just got an E-mail from my LHS! My Thunderbolt and most of the AM stuff has arrived! (only decals, seatbelts and wheels missing). I plan on beginning work this weekend, but I need some reference materials. Can someone of you recommed me some nice books about the P-47? (only english and german ones please)

Dre, a big well done. Its well deserved. If you can, make your own post with a pic of trophy/prize with the model. Its nice for the other members to see people doing well at shows.

Fly-n-hi, lol- the fingerprints are on the canopy.   I put 'em where folks can see the detail.

I need to get that thing into the photo studio for some detail shots, but I'm on vacation now and work is several states away.   Not to brag too much (well, a little), but it took 1st. in class and tied for Best of Show a few weekends back at a small local contest.

Dre...except for the big finger print on the wing that is fantastic.

Ha...just kidding.  There are no prints.  But I got you heart rate up a little bit didn't I?  Seriously, though, that is great work and definitely a prize winner.  You should post some pics of the bottom so we can see all the "stuff."

Thanks for the props, Clemens.   All I did special on that Frogfoot was to focus on every basic skill along the way and to take the time to do each step right.  

I didn't get the time to write down my comments on your awesome models:

I absolutely love your Hornet, Fly-n-hi! Especially the folded-in wing tips look great! I also like the colour scheme you chose for it.

The Stuka looks great too, Bish. I love the look of those cannon pylons.

Casper: Your Dragonfly is awesome! The model looks great and the plane itself looks kinda cute! (like a baby-Intruder)

I am not so fond of your Nighthawk though. Don't get me wrong, the model you built there is great! I just dont like the Nighthawk itself not too much.

There are too many excellent models in this thread to mention all of them...

...but i want to leave my thoughts on the model that impressed me most as the last point in this post:

Its Dre's Frogfoot!

I just love the amount of detail you put in the cockpit of this bird! You really do the Aires (i think it is Aires at least) detail set more than justice. I like the plane itself and the camo pattern you painted there as well!

After seeing your build I am really scared of my big Flanker I have lying around here (especially of the Aires set i got for it). I know i can't achieve the same excellent results you got with your Frogfoot, but I'll try at least in the future.

I'm building an Airacobra for the 1943 GB atm, if you are interested.

Be aware its only my second plane model though...

Not as big as a Jug and it sure hasn't got 2000hp, but it's a nice little plane. (I love the car-doors on it)

I haven't used that particular Quickboost engine set, but other products of theirs are top-notch stuff.

I'll just hope to get my Jug untill the mid of May and then just leave everything less important aside and only build on this one.

You'll probably get the stuff just in time to really hustle to get it done on time...  life's funny that way.

The Frogfoot was a fun build- I will probably do another one at some time.

Everything is already ordered at my local hobby shop, but it will need about a month or so to arrive.

Well, I got this 1/32 Sukhoi Su-25UB Frogfoot B in under the deadline...   here she is-

It has been a delight and a challenge to get this to this point, but after close to a year working on it I think it looks pretty good.   There are many things that I'd have done differently had I thought of them at the time.

Completed my 1/72 Hobbyboss MiL 24/35 in Angolan AF sceeme (1990's)

Humbrol enamels, MAV decals and future satin coat.

As someone said, this is a serious ground attack helo! Not only does it blow up everything arround you, it offloads 6 troops in the back just to make sure you are dead!

The cabin windows will be re-done though.

Hey fellas. I've had to shut down my building for a while. Have had the most unbelievably bad month in my life. Can't seem to catch a break in any aspect of things at the moment, I hope everybody has been doing better than myself.
