Well, this is everything. All parts have been cut off the sprues and have been glued, painted or drying from glue and painting. For such a large kit, there didn't seem to be a lot of parts, not like the Tammy 1/32 F-16 which had endless sprues to deal with.
Next job is to sew the bird up once the refuelling bay has been fitted just behind the cockpit.
Cheers

Professordeath, i apoligize. i thought i had given you the go-ahead lol. its an A-10, so its all good after some fanagling with the photobucket app ( which does not work well at all, i might add) i figured out how to share pics from my phone....after using the regular photobucket site on my phone lol

I am sure WildChild will sort that out once he see's this. I have never done a Hobby Boss kit. It certainly looks very nice.

Nice looking Warthog, Professor.
I can't decide if I want to wait on some Christmas decals for my Frogfoot, or if I want to go ahead without them... decisions, decisions.
Casper, nice work on the build. I think you need a bigger cutting mat.
Jimmy, the A-10 is looking great. I can't see your name on the roster, which kit is that.
Professordeath how do you upload pics with an iPhone? My laptop had a meltdown (again) and I have no other way to put up pics than my phone now.
Getting the internal structures fitted into the Nighthawk.
Bomb bays and front wheel cabin and bottom camera;
Engines, cockpit and front camera. The instructions called for the painting of the whole engine. I decided only to paint the intake fans as they are the only thing you will see and I didn't want to waste the paint on unseen parts. Makes me wonder why the supplied such detailed engines at all.
I painted in intake fans in Alclad chrome, this will be just visible through the PE intake grates.
Hey I've got another entry if that's ok. I got myself cheap a Hasegawa 1/32 A4-F which I'm going to build in the colours of the U.S navy "Ghost Riders"
Maybe OOB, may not haven't decided yet.
professordeath Sweet. Is that one of those kits that makes you attach the struts before assembling the bays? I hate that. I'm notorious at breaking them. Lol
Sweet. Is that one of those kits that makes you attach the struts before assembling the bays? I hate that. I'm notorious at breaking them. Lol
Yes but the struts are metal so it's pretty sweet. I now use cling film to mask struts when I paint the fuselage.
Cockpit and front camera housing attached;
Front undercarriage and underneath camera housing attached;
Sorry to hear that. Sometimes bad things happen to good models.
Casper, the F-117 would make a great addition!
Sorry for being away for song long fellas, been moving. Just getting everything situated today, but, regrettably, my B-25 did not survive the move. (My 8" bench vise slipped out of my hands onto the box.... A meteor the destroyed the B-25, a tamiya supra, and a revell dragster... Bad juju) so, my build will be withdrawn:( but, those cockpits look awesome fellas! And I'm really liking the Frogfoot!
Now the dreaded parts that need gloss white! Actually I used to really scared of air brushing light gloss colours but I've gotten a lot better at it now.
The landing gear and bomb bay are all meant to be gloss white. I've chosen an off-white because I just like the colour depth a little more. Also to achieve some more depth I primed all of these parts with black so when the white is applied there is subtle shading where the white hasn't quite gotten into. it also creates a nice depth through the white areas as well.
I also peeked into the stealth GB and that F-22 of yours is gorgeous. Love the paint work!
Casper, that is one sweet workspace. Forget the Trumpy seatbelts, yours looks so much better.
Wow casper that looks amazing. I'm kinda surprised about the lack of PE too. I got Trumpeters 1/32 f-14B and f-14D ( yeah I know they're pretty much the same planes) and they both came with a frett of PE. What's up with that Trumpeter?
Cockpit complete. I was a bit annoyed that Trumpeter neglected to include PE harnesses on such an expensive kit. I'd expect for the money I paid to get some more detail. Anyway I had some spare buckles left over from my Tammy F-16CJ build so I used lead foil to make the harnesses.
Nice and clean...
Completed office without the HUD or ejector seat
Some work on the control surfaces. I masked off and sprayed Tamiya X-18 semi-gloss black.
I then used the Flory white wash and slopped that over pretty heavy handed;
Once that was dry then with a cue tip I removed most of the excess;
This will be then cleaned with a 000 brush and then detailed. Once finished it hopefully gives the illusion of some wear and grime and also a slight suggestion of lettering and labels above the controls as you normally get in a cockpit.
Looks mighty fine as it is. Funny the lengths we go through to make something so small look so good.
Yes, the IP is a mix of decals and paint. I also used a small left over piece of coloured PE as a part of a decal tore on the lower left of the panel.
That looks great, Casper. Is that a mix of paint and decal on the IP, or what?
Ok, some slow progress on the Nighthawk. Slow work as i want to get this monster just right.
IP and rear cockpit wall;
Tates, I don't use any Tamiya primers but I have primed with Tamiya acrylics mixed slightly thinner than I would MM acrylics. Does that help any?
Hey quick question guys. Do any of you guys use tamiya primer? And if you do what's a good mix ratio for airbrushing?
Me too, Bish. For the time being I've narrowed down my paint and decal options to these-
1. standard Russian dark brown/ tan/ olive green over light blue
2. Iraqi large faded olive green clouds on faded sand over light blue
3. Ukrainian small dark green splotches on olive green over light blue
I'm leaning towards the Iraqi scheme as I think that it's a good 'look' for this aircraft.
Nice looking Frogfoot Dre, looking forward to seeing some paint on it.
Casper, there's nothing quite like having a model and nowhere to safely keep it.
It looks like most of the wing is already mated to the fuselage, cool. That's a honkin' big slab of plastic, though.
Since this is one of Trumpeter's later moldings, I'm really anxious to see how this kit plays out for you.
Ok, I've officially started on the Nighthawk. A lot of plastic and she's a big plane and at the moment I seriously have nowhere to display her when she's done
