Question , would "3rd Reich " (Germany 1933 -45) pretty much cover the time and place of these steel cats ?

I'm going to try and fire up the recruiting with this post.

This is my kit, Dragon Tiger I Late. The box is crammed full of parts. It does come with the DS tracks, which I used once before on my Elefant. After working on the H-39 and Semovente indy tracks, this will be a Godsend. I will probably wish I had magic tracks, but oh well.

I have enough time to scout some camo ideas. I hate coming up with them, but have 3 months to figure it out.

Great badges jack. I like your latest rendition.

Carl, it seems like we're setting in on your badge. Number 3 seems to have caught the eye of all. It does sum it up pretty well.

Jack , your doing some things on your badge that i cant come up with as well . I'm using the paint program that came with my windows 7 . Between the 2 of us we certainly are giving these guys some great choices .Yes

You came up with thsoe badges just with what you have on Windows 7? I guess i better look into that.

Carl - wow, on that third design.  With the elements I'm using I really can't compete with the flourish of colours.  It's cool with me if that is chosen as the one and only badge.

If there is still life in a three badge idea, another option is to have each one represent one of the three main scales: 1/35, 1/48, and 1/72.  This could be done by having the  wreath indicating the scale.

The latest update - added a plus sign to the number 2 to indicate more than one build completed.  Also changed the end date to reflect a possible one year build.  All this though is easily changed.

regards,

Jack

We still have until July ...............Whistling . What i'm hearing is that we need a badge with just a Panther or just a Tiger and then again we could have a Tiger and Panther along side of each other .............ok . It might be a couple of days though . I want to get back to building my 1/35th SA-2 . Its one of those missile things that knocked down Thuds over North  Viet Nam .

grrr... their all cool.. the Middle one was the one I was refering to for the 2 differant Cats depending on your build..but you could take the 3rd badge... switch the cats... tiger on top in middle over the panther,, then you u could still have a differant badge depending on your tank you built.. with out a bunch of changes..Whistling

I like number 3 or you could take number two and give the option of a Tiger. Zip it!

Eric , i have a thousand more ideas but it would take another 100 pages to work them all out with everyone . LOL . Like i said i enjoy doing this stuff as much as building . I'll leave this last badge as the final offering for now .Toast

p.s. that last one will look better and be easier to read when reduced to badge size .

This is getting pretty humorous, 100 posts on the badge. LOL

Tell me about it!!!...I'm tuned-inIndifferent like we all were during the OJ/white bronco chase!  Total distraction from work...can't get much done...wondering what the latest post is on the design!

LOL, and still with almost three months to go before the official kick-off date.

No complaints whatsoever here, love all the badges- every single one. Heart

Well that pretty much sums it up Carl. Either go with this or use a facing tiger  like the first badge to go along with the Panther so they're side-by-side. This version is probably more arty.

 p38jl:

since the GB is primarily Panthers and Tigers.. have 2 badges.. 1 with a panther as the cat , if you complete a panther.. u get the panther badge.. the other, with a tiger on it.. if you complete a tiger..

Keep the badges the same.. just differant cats.. dig it ??.. Groovy ??.. Headphones

Hmm Verrrrrrryy interessssstttttinngggggg.

That would work on Carl's, but not on Jack's.

Eric: Not if  you could go to the cat forward design, use the tanks from the original Big Cats GB badge that you said you liked, and just increase the tank size...
