Trey, awesome work man! I did the same thing to the wing inlets on mine, but then pick up the Paragon set for very cheap off evil bay afterwards, got lucky on that one.

Damn, I missed this up date. That's great work TREY, your a braver man than me and you have really pulled that off. And damn well worth it.

I got the decals stripes today and have just finished adding the formation lights. So a bit of clean up and I can get the Flat on tomorrow, so pics within a day or two.

A couple of days late, but here the pics. Once the formation lights were on, I gave the fuselage a matt coat and added some streaking grime. I am pretty pleased with the finish on this one. I then matted the fuselage with the wings.

Now got to add all the little windows, the props and antenna wires, and I think that's about it.

That Liberator is stunning Bish. Really good.

The figures look life like Trey, and the P/E windscreens are just scary.

Cheers

Tony

Bish - That B-24 is stunning! Keep those pics coming

Trey - Man you're braver than I. I looked at that verlinden frame and the 'slight' sanding involved and just went with the standard frame. Now I'm thinking I shouldn't have done that. Those frames give it a better look.

I got the B-24 done last night, it all fitted to the base, so just got the figures to finish off. Should have the completed pics at the weekend.

A day or so late, the figures took a bit longer than expected. All 2 and a half of them. Here's the completed pics.

Thanks for another great GB. I was really glad to be able to get this finished. I know there are errors, especially at the join of the front section. But I think I was able to cover most of that and have defiantly learnt lessons for next time.

All comments welcome as always.

Bish was a pleasure watching this build ! I really like what you've done with the weathering ,and the paint scheme is a nice departure from the usual 24. I know all that masking was tedious but it really paid off. Great base and nice touch with the truck adds some scale to the finished bird! 5star build for sure, very nicely done Sir!!!

Thanks very much guys.

I know what you mean about the paint scheme TREY, but this one is rather plan compared to some of the other lead ships, so expect so see even more outrageous paint jobs than this in the future.

And coming from a builder of your calibre, that's mean a whole lot.

Bish looking forward to seeing more extravagant paint schemes, again superb job on the 24 Sir!

Bsyamato thank you kindly,so want to see that flying boat build. There is one hangared here at Fantasy of Flight in Lakeland Florida that belongs to Kermit Weeks and I got to walk through it a few years back.

I had to spend a lot of time fixing ejector pin marks and other gaps in the floors and bulkheads that are now visible due to the cutaways. I did'nt factor these issues in before hand and it really has set me back time wise. What made it worse was having to work around details and structures already in place, again hindsight is 20/20 they say and here goes the proof. Delays aside and after checking and double checking to make sure all components were in place and the inside as clean as possible the fuse halves are now joined!

The front window frames required some last minute tweaking to get a nice tidy alignment at the front seam but all ended well. I used thin foam safe ca and allowed it to wick into the seams on both sides via capillary action

again thanks for all the continued support and kind words, cheers Trey
