Bish, there's light at the end of the tunnel. The upper wing is completed and installed. Just need to finish the prop and add a few control lines and I'll be able to call 'er done. Should be in the next day or two.

Watchmann, nice Spindrift, can't wait to see what you've done with it when it's complete. Great progress so far! Eagle, good luck battling the Cutlass kit's shortcomings. It's a really cool looking plane. Artistic license is the reason I do mostly sci-fi models now, it's just fun to imagine a different paint scheme/backstory to a build. Have fun with it, that's the name of the game!

Thanks bad.  I've got the six passenger seats complete except for the pedestals.  I'm gonna work on the cockpit next.

Say, you see that Bandai is coming out with a new MG Sazabi?  *Groan*

Thanks bad! She is a cool looking jet despite her short comings and she will look awesome in the display case when finished.  I hear ya on the Sci-Fi stuff.  Half the fun is coming up with what it's going to look like finished!

Good lord! That's why I've been sticking to the HG stuff. The new ones may be about 20-30 bucks, but they still make great looking kits if you put the effort in.

Bandai still knows how to tempt, though. I wish the MG Sinanju Stein would fall out of the sky and onto my bench!

OK fellas, here it is. My 4th WnW kit, but man, what a blast it was to build. Bish, many thanks for running the GB here. This one was a lot of fun!

Now that is a think of beauty Mike, again. Will be a pleasure to have that on the front page.

One thing. I can see rigging on the tail and the undercarriage, but I can't see any between the wings. I know you haven't missed this out by accident. Is it really fine or is it not meant to have any.

I know WW1 isn't my thing, but after seeing the builds you and the other guys came up with, I am really tempted to get one of these kits. I think in the new year I may look into it.

Bish, I don't think the DVII's had rigging in the wings, they were very advanced.

Thanks watchman. that's sort of what I was thinking, I had just assumed that all these bi planes had rigging.

No rigging in the wings, now that could be the kit for me.

I certainly makes things easier.  If you find a kit of the DVIII, it doesn't have rigging either.

I know the feeling!  I like working in 1/100; it's easier for me to get my thick fingers on larger parts.  Good thing there are only a few mobile suits that I like enough to buy.

Bish, Watchman, thanks guys! It really was a fun kit to build, and a great venue to share it in. Bish, I say go for it! You'd love these kits! I've been eyeballing their Sopwith Tripe - may be pulling the trigger on one of those real soon. You should go to WnW"s site and check it out - cool bird and not a lot of rigging. Watchman, right on about the D.VII rigging - it may have been their best fighter of the war IMO, and was indeed quite advanced.

Thanks for the info Mike. If I do one, which I think I will, I reckon it will defiantly be a German one. I have been eyeing up the Fokker you did for the WW1 GB, I really like the look of that.

Are you still planning on doing the Fe 2, or is it a bit late for that one.

The Eindecker, Bish? Yeah, that one caught my eye as well. It's a great kit - fit like a dream, and the rigging is not as complex as it may appear. Good choice!

I don't think there's enough time for me to squeeze in the Fe2b. It's quite a complex kit, well over 320 parts, but, if there is a Gift GB II, then definitely count me in with that one. Plus, my dad's 83rd birthday is coming up in late January, and his favorite plane is the Spitfire, so I'm going to build him the 1/32 Tamiya Mk.XVI. It's been more than a few years since I built anything related to WWII, so I figure on needing a bit more time to shake the rust off and have a serious go at it.

Ye, that's the one Mike. You built the E. II/III early version if I remember right. I have been eyeing up the E.III late. I know they are not as colourful as some of the others, I was checking out the scheme on the WnW site, but I like the look of that one.

No problems about the Fe2. Theun's asked about a round II a while back. At the moment I don't have any plans, so many GB's on going at the moment, I think its hard  people to commit to the ones that are running. But later next year I may have another go.

I am not a big fan of the Spitfire, but I will be looking forward to seeing what you do with that. I don't think I have seen any of your post WW1 builds.

since this was a gift and, no surprise, i already have one i decided to build this OOB, learn the tricks, and build the next one with pe and open hatches. didn't finish the interior of the driver's compartment or super detailed the engine. everything is just sitting there so i can figure out what to paint before assembly. the frame in the front was not as parallel as i thought so some surgery to fit was in order. still not going to sxe much on the inside. this think builds more like a truck than a tank. the 4th pic is a 75mm PAK frrom 5 years ago i cleaned up and oil washed. it's there for size.

That thing is cool!  I was hoping I'd see someone build one of those.  Looking forward to watching you build it, Wayne.

Just under 2 months left to run. I know we have a couple of kits that have been started and a few that haven't been seen yet. So how are we getting on guys.

Gah!  I know.  I'm feeling the pressure.  I've got the interior almost complete, and ready for paint.  Just a few more pieces.  I'll get pictures posted soon.

I have an update pic of the Cutlass.  Like I have said, she's not the most detailed OR accurate kit, but it has been fun!  Long story short (and I know Bish is laughing because I vented on him about this) I had to let the cockpit "air out"!  Yeah air out.  I used super glue to put lead weights in the nose to keep it down and didn't think about it until I was putting decals on and had the plane upside down with the cockpit area resting on top of a Tamiya paint bottle.....well....I moved it and noticed a white residue on the cap...and realized what it was!  CA fumes, so, I apologize for not many update pics due to the fact I had to fumigate my cockpit!    Hey, if you can't laugh at yourself!  I thought it was humorous!  Anyway, here she is.  A little more Micro Sol is in order for the decals and some touch up paint here and there.......then I will finally feel brave enough to get to the canopy!
