OK, ya got me!  I have some Wildcats, Dauntlesses and Devastators, and will commit with one of them, though I'll have to think about which.

I'm doing a an Airfix Devastator for the 1/72 O'Mania GB, and the wing corrugations are enough to make a person manic.  Haven't posted any progress pictures yet over there.

Right, i must be totally out of my skull with what i am already commited to. But i have a couple of US carrier aircraft and i don't have any modern US aircraft built on the shelf. So i will squeeze this in if it kills someone.

Put me down for the Fujimi 1/72nd E-2C Hawkeye. This is the original release and i will be adding some nice folded wings to it.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

US CARRIER AVIATION GROUP BUILD 2013
Posted by SchattenSpartan on Monday, April 29, 2013 4:24 PM

Ok folks, this is the first GB I host, so if something is not entirely clear from that first post, feel free to ask me at any time.

I was reading through all that group build titles here on the forum and i noticed there was none about carrier based planes. So i thought I'll just put this one up.

This GB will start on 15th May 2013 and will end on 31st December 2013

The rules are simple:

1) You can build everything, in any scale as long as it matches the following criteria:

  • It must be a plane
  • It must be of a carrier-based design
  • It must be american (markings must resemble a machine used by USN or USMC)

2) You can use aftermarket stuff or not, it depends on you.

3) Crossovers are totally fine

4) Already started kits are no problem, but please only untill the point where the fuselage is glued together

5) Everyone is welcome, no matter how experienced you are!

6) Be nice to each other (I don't think I really have to tell you this Wink)

7) Finish your build in time (no extention here)

8) HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!!

Feel free to grab a badge when you enter this group build!

Thank you for helping me with this, Bish!

Cheers, Clemens
