She's looking really nice!

I didn't get any bench time this week, but I should be able to get the M16 ready for paint next week...

well I got the decals (all2 of them) on the truck and the camo done. I went to doa flat clear coat and the tires just became really shiny and tacky. They are the vinyl tires that came with the kit. The after market ones I bought didn't fit even with some sanding and drilling. Anything I can do to get rid of the shine?

i always paint my tires with a heavy engine gray wash, vinyl or plastic doesn't matter.

Shiv, that SA-2 looks great! are those Egyptian or Iraqi markings? I like that Arleigh Burke class build as well. I see ships of that class moored nearby at Seal Beach every so often and their lines are growing on me.

Eagle, always good to see the classic 88! Yours is almost done! I cant wait to see her finished!

Well the other day I realized that the end date here is just around the corner, so I pulled my build off the sidelines and started knuckling down on the finishing touches. I hope to have some photos up soon.

Thanks Stick. The markings are Egyptian from the Yom Kipur war

Thanks stik!  I'm pretty excited about finishing my first armor type kit!  The Puma is coming along very nicely too, but it is a lot different than the 88 is build wise.

Shiv, thanks for the clarification on that. Some of those Arab markings and paint schemes are pretty hard to tell apart.

Eagle, I look forward to your finished 88. I never get tired of seeing those.

Eagle, that looks dang good to me! I really love that backdrop, it adds a nice touch of a beautiful day about to be ruined by the aluminum overcast.

Pick whichever photo you prefer my friend!

Nice work guys, right in under the wire. I do like those figures stik, really nice work on those. Now they just need a base.

Eagle, really nice job on that. That colour is a lot better. And lovely backdrop, that will look nice behind the dio. Look forward to that's when its done.

Same with your wayne.

We have just over one day left for this GB to run. I would like to thank everyone who has taken part and produced some great builds. Of course, any builds that have already been started, feel free to keep posting your progress and claim your badge as long as you have posted some progress pics before the deadline.

And thanks eagle for helping me out with this one. Hopefully it hasn't given you to many headaches and will be good practice for hosting your own GB. Speaking of which, don't forget guys, Eagle and myself have the 2 Armour in the West GB's coming up in June.

caution, shameless plug approaching.
