i'm in on this. i have a Hawker P1127 on my "to build" pile and it's begging to get built. Hey Woody. if you where planing to do one of those P1127s that you got from me i'll choose something else. probably a pre war SABINA DC3 as i have the decals for this and a spare dak. or maybe a BEA dak. hmmmmmmm decisions decisions. ok i think i'll do the dak anyways.
Greg

i have changed my mind, i will probably be doing a Saab aircraft. don't know which yet but i'll let you know. possably a lansen or J29.

What are you painting your B-25 like black underneath with the green and browns on top?

I am definately in. I have a p-51d I am going to be doing for a friend and a p47n I will be doing for myself. However, I doubt I can actually start them for a couple of months due to some other important builds before them, so I love the October ending date; it will give me something to really strive for this summer! Hopefully the NMF isn't as hard as everyone says it is :-)

b6dan, I meant your B-52 not B-25. Sorry. I am working on my F-100D from Monogram right now. I hope to be able to rescribe it. I will paint the three at the same time.

All those involved please email me. I would like a list of what you are hoping to finish by Halloween.

I am going to put your names on the top post of page 1.

I have most of the F-100 rescribed. I have around 60-70% done. I have six emails for who is building what. I will post it at the top of the first page so all can see without having to dig for it, will post as soon as I can get on normally. Hope all is well.

Take care.

think i will take the advice of some in another thread and have another a/c working while working on this vacuform b-18, i believe a p-38j with photo etch may be the choice. this also should be nmf i think.

Hey, joe! Were you able to find the B-18 referrences you needed? I've come up empty when i went through my humble little "library"... Smile [:)]

Okay, one more coat of aluminium and the masking comes off the F-86F... I suppose I'm about 2/3 done with it. How are you guys doing?

Okay, I've come to a decision. I'm gonna do Revell's 1/48 F89 D/J Scorpion. Not sure of the markings just yet.

Okay, I just peeled away the masking on my F-86F, and it's turned out rather well for my first NMF aircraft. Here are some pictures of the sabre awaiting final assembly and detailing. Constructive criticisim would be very much appreciated! Smile [:)]

Yes, I mean the -52 with SEA camo... and Big Belly mod scratchbuilt... I can see why I build things in the "teensy" scales! 1:144 B-58 and such...

I have the outside area of the F-100D already assembled. I forgot to put the lights in underneath but did not install the access panel for the machine guns, as plan to seal that area up so I could install them. I hope it will not be too difficult to fix but I have started to sand with wet sandpaper. I hope all is well. I have only recieved six emails so far. Keep them coming, as soon as this is resolved I will post them on the first page as I promised. I just can't get to my account right now.

I used plain old Tamiya TS-17 Gloss Aluminium in the rattle can. I really didn't think it would come out so well! When you say tint and polish panels, i assume you mean to make it look something like this:

This is from the aircraft resource center (the map and helmet were a nice touch!)...
I was thinking about doing that but didn't know how to go about it. Any suggestions? Off hand, i suppose i could mask off and polish certain panels with polishing compound. or maybe use thinned down Tamiya smoke...

Hmmmm, I could break my allegance to the armor forum (I'm committed to three builds there) and pick either my Nakajima Ki-84 Frank or my P-47. The completion date is very friendly so I might commit. Be prepared for many questions from a rogue treadhead.

Welcome! No allegiance breaking needed here! Hmmm... you seem to favor radial engines. It's always nice to see a NMF Razorback, if you're still unsure what to build, my vote goes for the P-47!

shrikes,
Looking real good! This build looks like a blast but I am up to my behind as it is so I guess I'll have to watch from the sidelines. I use the old Tamiya TS-17 alot. It has never failed me!

Yes I did. You could use smoke as a tint - that would be interesting to see.

collectaire resin f-86d with snj and metallizer tints. The speed brake interior was a cast from the hasegawa f-86 sabre.

Sorry Guys, I have been trying to crack this nut for a couple of nights....how to post here from the ron george site! Finally, I cracked it!!

This isn't my NMF group-build effort, but just picked it to test the post. Will be picking up the F-84G Thunderjet on Saturday.
