Primed and painted the starting bits of my -109 over the weekend.  All the interior parts have a coat of Future curing on them in preparation for a wash.  I'll do this completely out of the box with 1 exception, I have some PE sets from the Royal Class offering of the -109 in my stash.  I'm planning on borrowing some cockpit items, IP, Seatbelts, etc. for this one.  I'm also going to button this one up.  I hemmed and hawed on this as the Eduard kit is really stunning opened up, but I like the yellow nose and want to keep the lines neat.  Pics will follow as I progress.

Thanks again for this fantastic kit!  The Eduard -109 has firmly entrenched itself as one of my "Desert Island" kits.  Right up there with the AM Avenger.

GreySnake

Nice score on the Stuka Eagle! I built the same kit a couple months back. It went together nice and smoothly, actually one of the easiest kits I've ever built. Just don't be like me and forget to put the radiator inIndifferent

Have you picked out the markings for it yet?

Hey Greysnake,

Nope not yet.  I might just use this for a GB coming up.  Will have to do the research on the units to see which would fit best.

Wow! Too bad I didn't catch this thread before Christmas. Sounds like everyone got some really cool kits. I'd definitely be game if anyone does another Secret Santa GB next year.

I had a BIG surprise. My secret santa went above and beyond, and got me a Revell (Monogram) B-25J. But not just any gun-nosed B-25J like I already have, but a GLASS nosed Mitchell!!! I've been waiting to get my hands on one of these so I'll have a place to put this little lady, coutesy of Kit World decals.

Stu, I'm really glad that you like the 109!

I was really surprised to open this guy today!

Thanks to the Santa from Vermont! You picked out my favorite aircraft and favorite version of the FW-190! Can't wait to get started, the only hard part is figuring out what markings to put on it.

Special thanks to GreySnake for hitting the nail on the head with the Eduard BF-109E-1!  This kit has been a favorite of mine and was quite a surprise to unwrap this morning.  Thank you so much!  Can't wait to get started on it!

Interestingly, I hadn't join this build, yet yesterday I received a packageGift from the Great White North!Wow  I sent a note of thanks to last year's Secret Santa! Toast Awaiting the 25th to open.....

Aside from confused, it is slightly comical.

Nevertheless you might as well join in the fun with a previous years carryover.

We had our Christmas today, long story, was supposed to work, then last minute that changed but there was no way I was convincing the kids they had to wait an extra day to open.

End result, I opened a 1:35 Dragon Panther II !!

The build will have to wait until the new year due to travel plans but it looks exciting!

Santa made an early stop at my house yesterday!  I don't want to open the package in case any wrapping got torn or something.  But the anticipation is killing me!

Haven't seen Santa out this way yet but it's a very busy time for him and it's been snowing for a week so I'm thinking he's waiting for a tow truck.

Chompin' at the bit to see what's next to hit the bench. A boat? Maybe a rotary wing thinga-ma-jig. Or a tank. Yeah. A tank. No. Wait a sec. How 'bout a rocket ship? Or a cool fighter plane? Hmmm......
