Haven't seen anything. I'd certainly be up for it. I had fun on last year's.

So... is anyone doing this this year? I'm definitely in on this GB.
Kafziel This is the coolest idea ever. If we’re doing this for 2014, I will definitely sign up!

Me too kaf. I'm watching for it.

Typically someone does one of these every year.
No sweat. As much as we'd like to have nothing better to do but sit at our benches, I seriously doubt there are many of us who can take such liberties! This life would be great if it weren't for all the F#$%$#G responsibilities!
Thank you Stu! I really enjoyed the Mono Stuka! Are we the only ones that finished?

Looks pretty sharp to me! Great Job!
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called her finished at 2200hrs! 2 hours to spare! I had MAJOR issues with the decals, so I had to use the kit decals and they were a little yellowed, but turned out pretty good I think! So here she is....my Stuka!
Well, I was on track to have this finished tonight and ran into some major decal issues. Here it is up to the decal point. I should still have the majority of it finished tonight! The decal issues kinda threw me, but a great kit none the less.
I honestly can't remember off the top of my head. The one that was called out on the instructions! Yeah! That one! . One of the various RLM light blue colors.
It looks great! The bottom weathering is spot on! What color did you use for the bottom?
Thanks! In all honesty it was a lazy approach. I didn't want to tackle the mottling of some of the other schemes. I liked all the hard masking lines for these markings.
Great work on the 109 Stu! Really like the paint scheme!
Here are pics of my finished -109. What's left to say? I find this kit right up there with the Accurate Miniatures Avenger in terms of sheer building joy! I loved working on this kit:
DiscoStu Glad this thread came back to life. I had a hard time finding it. My -109 has been completed and is resting comfortably in the display case. I'll try to remember to pull it out when I get home and send some pics.

I can't believe it's June already! Definitely want to see some pics of the plane!
More pics of the Stuka. At a stand still now. Need to get some paint!
Had to come up with an innovative way to keep from having to do major seam work at the wing roots...and it worked!

PICS.......or it didn't happen!

Thanks Pyrman. It has gone together very well. I do like the Mono/Revell kits! Hopefully more to come tonight!
Eagle: looks great, so far.
Well, here it is June and I finally got some pics of the Stuka! This has been a great kit. No major fit issues at all, and the build is proceeding very smoothly. Here is what I have so far.
Good lord....it's been 4 months since the last post! Well, can't say I didn't make an effort. Here's an update on my Tiger....
I somehow got the separate zimmerit panels on the turret and I only broke one clothes pin doing it
I found it interesting that there's quite a bit of over-hang at the top
Some nice work going on guys. I've been unable to get mine going yet as I crashed my truck on Dec 30 and am just getting going again, with limited use of my left arm. Been googling F-84's and have decided to try doing that NMF look with that Alclad stuff. Never used it before but have wanted to try it for a while now so ....
Keep Smilin'--it makes this world a nicer place.
Some nice work so far.
I just got back from family vacation so now I can start thinking about my build. Hopefully this week I will get to it.
I added to the front page the badge as well.
Time to continue to get caught up on the forums.......
Got the 109 assembled. Now at the seam-correction phase. I did notice a huge D'OH moment. When closing up the fueslage I failed to catch that the piece holding the cooling vents(?-I'm afraid I don't know my 109 biology ;)) slipped out of place. I've now got a bit of a gap between the nose and lower wing. I'll have to shave some sprue to fit into place and fill in. Kit is so well engineered that I have to "engineer" my own mistakes.
I pulled my Royal Class boxing off the shelf and have decided to go with E-1 markings from this kit. I've been hit or miss on my attempts at mottling and the kit is too nice to risk, so I'm going with an early-war scheme with dark greens in splinter pattern with white wing tips and tail.
Looking good Greg!
David
Here's an update....got the sides and upper superstructure plate on:
most of the engine deck is complete
and I started on the turret
Stu , Really glad to hear you like that Eduard kit. Sounds like you've gotten a good start on it so far. Can't wait to see some pics!
