Shuftie, you are now officially onboard...

OK folks, I am gonna ask for some input here. WE have a lot of really great GB badges here from Bish, Matt Joachim, and YG modeler. I have narrowed it down to these ones and I really have no problem with anybody here using them- I know most GBs have one and a few have two or three optional badges, but since our subject choices are so varied, why not have many badges to choose from?

Anyways here are the ones I really like-

for the ground war

for the war on the water (blue and brown)

for the air war

and for the "other side"

Sound off for equipment check!Whistling

"All okay, jumpmaster!!!!  Stand in the door!!!  Hooah!

For the ground war, my vote goes to the second one. For the water tough choice, but the second one just nicks it. For air war the first one.

Bish, your GB badge looks pretty cool......I know what you mean about the online translations!  Bing and Facebook aren't any better!!!  Good concept!

Stik, I went ahead and used that first pic. But if you prefer a different pic or want these ones different, let me know. I kept them simple and seeing as they are Communist forces, I thought red writing was appropriate.

First option, in Vietnamese.

Second in English.

Third in both.

The Vietnamese translation was done via google, so I can't vouch for its accuracy, I know when I seen stuff translated to English it can sometimes come out gibberish.

Let me know what you think, its easy enough to change anything or use a different image.

You're right. Even if a model turns out to be trash; that's not the point, the main thing is to have fun with friends.

I use microsoft paint to make mine. That's about as simple as it gets; however, I understand you sir.

No, we don't have an NVA one. Going off what you said about the Palace, I just did a quick search and found a few that might work. Let me know which one you like.

There is another one with two tanks in front of the palace, but unfortunately the page or image won't load, so hopefully one of these will be ok.  I like the first one myself but will leave it to you.

Bish

Stik, I will see what I can come up with for a N Vietnamese badge over the weekend. Seeing as we only have only the one N Vietnamese entry, I think just the one badge for that side would do, don't you think. Some good badge options already, but for the aircraft, I do like the F-4 dropping its payload.

Bish, I agree about the F-4 ones for the Air War. Those are really nice.  And thank you for offering. Do we have a NVN badge entry already? I must have missed it when Iooked thru here a few nights ago.

I would really like one using something along the line of when the NVA tanks entered the Saigon Palace grounds for the Communist sign

Matt-Joachim

well i made three you can at least make one...

Actually I can not. I dont have the capability on my computer. At least not as far as I have tried. Thats why I ask for someone to make them in the GBs that I run. I am more concerned about the running of the GB and such than with the badges. I really do not care about the badges anymore, just about the paticipation with the builds and camaraderie of the GB.

Yes, I remember; however I had to rush to get my North Afrika GB done. You asked for possibly one for each land, air, and sea. Here are a few I put together. Don't use them if they are not good enough. My feelings will not be hurt! lol

GB Badges are posted after completion of your build. We do not have any yet "officially" although a few were submitted. But IIRC, you did offer to make one up for here as well some time back.

I would have posted more work in progress pics except i chose to try out some dollar store spray paint for the body (HUGE MISTAKE) they looked terrible. The model would look much better if i would have went model specific. I guess you get what you pay for! I will be making another model for this GB to compensate for the mediocrity of my A-7.  This A-7 is ok but ill defiantly put file ii in the learning expierence folder lol.  NOT DONE YET THOUGH!!
