Bish Looking nice there eagle, and that's one nice looking aircraft as well.

Thank you sir! She has been my challenge of 2015 so far....let's hope it is the last one!
stikpusher Well she is looking pretty good to my eye. But I gotta say that you are pretty brave to attach fiddly bits before the finish line. I usually leave off parts like the landing gear etc. that tend to get broken or knocked off in handling until after I have decals on. Just a thought to pass on...

Thank you sir! LOL! Got ya! They are not attached yet. Just wanted to get some encouragement from what it was going to look like! I will admit, I have broken off the elevators 2 times...on one side! Once on the other! They used to move!
Well, this Vigi has turned out to be the challenge of 2015 for me! Many gaps, missing parts, and numerous accidents...the elevators have been glued on about 4 times now, the canopy received a "bird strike" during polishing, and with as many seams/gaps as this kit has, I'm assuming there has been a close call with a SAM! But I can't stop working on her! She is a beautiful plane and I actually pulled my 1/72 Airfix Vigi down last night and contemplated doing it too! Looks VERY similar to the Hase kit. Who knows what I'll do. Anyway, here are a couple of update pics. I want to say I'll have her done by the weekend, but the way things have been going......
Rob S. Great work Eagle...love that one. Gonna be a sweet build! Keep at 'er!!

Thank you sir! The plane is so intriguing! I'm almost tempted to do the Airfix 1/72 Vigi I have too! I opened that one up last night to take a look and it is very similar to the Hasegawa kit!
stikpusher PJ, you're doing the old Invader, very proud indeed! I look forward to more! Eagle, it's all in the eye of the beholder. And you obviously are putting some great effort into your Vigi.

Thank you sir. I'm giving it all I got Capt! This kit has to be one of the more challenging ones I have done. But we shall adapt and overcome!
Tal Afar Dave Hey Eagle, Your Vigilante is coming along nicely. I agree, it is such an awesome looking plane! Dave
Hey Eagle,
Your Vigilante is coming along nicely. I agree, it is such an awesome looking plane!
Dave
Thank you Dave! She has turned out fairly well. Lots of "accidents" have really slowed the process down!

Here is an update pic. She isn't going to be the best looking build I've done, but man what a cool subject!
I'm finding small pieces are missing (mostly landing gear stuff), so the "detail" is not there, but like I said, very cool subject and is going to look awesome on the shelf!
PJ, that camo is looking great!
Bob, Pawel and Rob, thanks gents. Still have a lot to do to it. Can't wait to get to the decal and weathering stage.
Great cam job plastic!!
plasticjunkie - I like your SEA camo a lot! Congratulations! The edges are very nice, and the preshading looks just fine to me. Good luck with your build and have a nice day

Thanks PJ! I actually started to paint the Vig last night after checking out the pics you posted! They were a great help! I just need to figure out what the color of the wheel wells are now!
I had forgotten how somewhat complex the SEA scheme is, specially in 1/72 scale but it's finally on the Invader. I still have to go back and retouch here and there but needed to take a break after about 2 hours of free hand air brushing. Most of the preshading was lost to the multi paint scheme but is still slightly visible.

Man, those will help with decal placement too! Many thanks!
No sweat buddy and thanks. Here's another picture.
PJ! First, awesome job on your Invader! Great work! Second, thank you for the pic of the Vig! It actually helps me with the color scheme! She is an interesting airplane for sure! Thanks again!
