Work on the Harrier is progressing slowly.  Work has been  a killer to any build time.  I'v got a primer coat on and have worked on filling seams and spots here and there.  Hopefully I can spray some color this weekend.

I’m coming up on having some model time as well.  Couple papers due and then a short summer class.  Although I’m willing to bet it will be ridiculously intense to make up for its brevity.

Once that’s all done I’ll be able to churn out a couple kits and my Quonset hut is at the top of the list.

Great to hear Rob! I plan on starting the M60 soon...I find out if I graduate on monday, but I really love spending summer outdoors so I don't know. Either way, I'll be around more often, with or without the building part.

Carlos, I'll update your build when I get some time. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Those are some nice color schemes and I know it'll look great by the time you get finished.

Jarhead, that is a nice Hornet indeed! Very well done!

Josiah, I am gonna change out my entry for this GB. Since the LVTP-5 that I am doing is being built for my neighbor as the one that he drove in Vietnam, and I will be adding some scratch interior work I do not want to be constrained by a time deadline on that.

So instead I am gonna switch to this puppy, an old Harrier kit that I have had in my stash for ages (I actually got it for Christmas in 1982 and have never yet built it)

and will be using these new decals that I just picked up off of eBay

let me get a few more nearly completed builds done then I will be all over this puppy...Stick out tongue

Can't go wrong with the Eduard color photo-etch stuff, Rob! I use that stuff every chance I get. Beats painting the cockpit, especially with my eyes!!

Really excited to see your Crusader Rob.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I thought I had commented on everybody's builds after I updated everything. So my apologies that I'm late, but Brandon that is a bee-you-tea-full corsair! Rob, I'm looking forward to what you do with the crusader, I have confidence it'll be another spectacular build.

BrandonK, love the Corsair! Really like that photo-etch prop. Might have to try that on one of my builds one of these days.

Honestly, these props look much better in person than in the photos. I really like them but I need to get the painting down so they are more convincing. This one was my first.

Here is the link to their website, you can buy these are Spruebros.

Well, Brandon, great build. I have to admit I've NEVER seen a prop like that. Can you post a website that features them? Very unusual and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it...but, cool all the same! VERY well done....YesCoolYes

Finally getting the backlog of builds completed and out of the way. I am calling this one done. It came out pretty nice. I didn't weather it up quite to the extent of the bird it portrays, mostly because the dark color tends to hide much of what I did. You can pick up the panel line shading, done with pastels, with the naked eye but it is difficult to see it in the photos.

I really enjoy the dynamic prop on this one. The friend I am building this for wanted it displayed with the engine running like in the photo we have. So, I gave this a shot. It is photo etch and very very delicate. One little mishandling and the prop will be deformed and look poorly. I felt like I was a snow flake the whole time I worked on it. Now before everyone jumps me for the 4 blade design rather than the correct 3 blade let me explain that it what you get on the Corsair prop. I didn't see a 3 blade for an F4U, but perhaps I missed it. Anyway, it looks great to me and it does look best when the light come from behind the prop. When it shines on the front it looks metallic. I will use more of these for birds I hang in flight, I really like the look.

Anyway, enjoy the pics fellas.

So I have been busy with work, family, and school.  I have my hornet on her wheels and paint on.  I will have pictures this weekend.  I am ordering Kitty Hawk 1:48 scale F-35B STOVAL and would like to add it to the group build if that is ok.

Sweet work on the Ah-1 Rob. I like it a lot.  Toast  Wish I had time to start on my AH-1Z but too many kits in its way at the moment.
