Thanks, Bish! Life, work, weather, wife, and kids are going to try to prevent me from finishing this week, but I will push back. :-)

And finally, there's still any interest: I'm down to painting the canopy, decaling the R2 unit, and then I'll be done. I'll be posting pics of the completed build this week.

Hope everyone is doing well....

That sounds like me. :-) My stash isn't big (despite what my wife thinks!) but I'll run out of life before I run out of kits.

OK, quick update, got the forward fuselage of this space hot rod painted including the markings. Next a coat of Future on all the new paint and then I beat the heck out of it.

Thanks for looking!

Har! That must be quite a stash. :-)

Thanks, Stephen. I'm def going to keep posting. Got a good amount of painting done on the forward fuselage today, so per usual, I'm just plowing through and painting, weathering, un-weathering, re-weathering, etc, until it looks done.

PB,

That's coming along great! With the Star Wars stash I have i could keep this GB going for about 5 years, lol. As it is right now I am working on a Hailfire droid and AT-TE.

Can't wait to see your's done though, keep posting.

-Stephen.

Lol, thanks, guys! Appreciate the kind words. Propeller

Just don't let me forget to paint and attach the R2 unit...! Easy to overlook while moving towards the finish line.

OK, just jamming along. Adjusted some of weathering on the wings, repainted a couple of engines, painted and attached the laser cannons. Got the fuselage assembled, area around the cockpit painted and detailed, and the back half of the fuselage weathered and painted. All that's left is the front half. Engines are just stuck in place for now.

After painting front half of the fuselage, I'll stick on the remaining bits, touch up the engines, and call her done.

Hope everyone is well, and you don't mind me extending this GB a bit beyond the deadline....!

Silentbob, thanks and I do recommend the kit. Small parts count and it goes together very well. The castings are crisp with very little to clean or fix. Only problem I had was some warping of the wings. I think that is to be expected though with how long and relatively thin they are. It is easy enough to straighten them out with some hot water.

Hogfants, thanks. The claw fighter is 1/72 scale, so it goes well with the Bandai and Finemold  kits.

PB, looking forward to the X-wing  finishing up.

Bish, you have to keep a eye out for the clawcraft, they go real quick.

Love that Clawfighter, Stephen! Always good to see something different. Propeller

Well, after stepping back to get a 10,000 foot view of the X-Wing build I made some adjustments to the weathering that I just didn't like. Then saw TFA for a second time (in IMAX 3D--big thumbs up), which inspired me to pour my guts into this build and finish. As a result I've gotten my m0jo back. Going to make a final push to the finish line over the next couple of weeks.

Now i do like the look of that Stephan. I have seen that on Starship modeller, i may have to grab one when they come back in stock. I'll add it to the front page is a bit.

Always a pleasure to have you along, your Screamin kits are a joy to se. Just a shame they are out of buisness, i would love to see some figures from the recent movies in that size.

SB,

Outstanding job on the AT-AT! The neutral grey looks great! And the snowspeeder looks perfect in that spot!

NucMedTech,

That is one very unique Tie type fighter! Looks really cool! What scale is it?

Man what a great GB, Bish Thanks for hosting it and I am already looking forward to the next one. Should have plenty models in the stash to choose from. Every one has done some wonderful work. I do have my last entry here and ready to post (sorry for the delay, it has been done for a while now)

From the Chiss Ascendancy comes the Chiss Clawcraft. A marriage of Siener and Chiss technology.

Thanks again!

Bob, need to pilfer your AT-AT, would look good in my office. :-)

And thanks again to you, too, Bish. Great GB.

Unfortunately, the holidays took away from bench time and the build started bogging down. You know, that point you sometimes reach where you've stared at a kit for so long you don't even know what it looks like anymore....? But I've been back at it the past couple days, trying to get over the hump. I WILL finish so Bish can put this puppy to bed lol.

Hope everyone has a good New Year!

PB

I really do like that Bob. Lovely finish on the walker and a great scene. I will definatly be useing your build for referance when i do mine. Got you posted on the front page.

And just to confirm, the next Star Wars GB, Ep III, will begin on Dec 16th 2016 and run until May 26th 2017. So plenty of time to get those builds ready.

And i just want to thank you all fellow Star wars fans for some awsome builds and a great GB, its nothing without you guys. Some really nice builds on the front page, its a great line up. Look for a round up in the Sci Fi section soon. And look forward to seeing you all in the next one and throughout the year.

And on that note, a Happy New year to you all, and of coause

May the Force be with you all.

Thanks PB!  Yeah, the speeder is only supported by the wire.  It's not where I initially wanted it to be, but it was where it had to go so it wouldn't droop down onto the ground.  I'm calling this one done.  I added some snow to the walker and weathered with pastels.  Thanks for hosting Bish.  I'll definitely join you for the next one.

Josiah, i have just update the front page with a pic of your fighter on the base. Thanks again.

Ok, guys, i know we are just waiting on the final pics of bob's AT-AT and porkbits is still under way. Is there anyone else still building. Once PB has done, i will be posting a GB review in the Sci-Fi section, unless there is anyone else close to finishing.
