Worth a 1000 words. How do fix that? Assuming you want his feet in a fixed position.

A pic can explain it better.

Its the interchangable and positionable part of there figures that is putting me off.

Looks good, Joe!

Aha, yeah, that was my question, lol--what's wrong with the feet? That's a new one.....

Bob, have you got any styrene rod, or maybe used stretched sprue for those rivets.

Joe, that looks nice. One of the guys in my model club brought an un-built one of these to a meet and it looked really nice. But when I looked at some pics, the feet really put me off.

Good work guys.

Ive started this recently:

Its the Bandai 1/12 Scout Trooper.  So far only the head and part of the waist is built.  My guess is that it will need very minimal paint but weathering to make it more realistic.  Very nice kit.

Thanks guys.I was thinking I could use a little piece of styrene, but what stumped me was to replicate the raised rivet detail...maybe some super glue applied with the head of a pin?

Look good bob. A little bit of sheet styrene should work for that flap. Or just leave it and call it an new variant.

Great start! Can't wait to see some paint on her.

As for the flap...hmm....I guess it depends on how much it bugs you. I don't have much experience scratchbuilding stuff, so I would probably leave it.

Aha, same here--for both of my six year olds.

I've already watched it a few more times than I'd care to admit. :-)

Was an exciting morning at my house as my 5 year old and I watched the trailer. I have to see about getting tickets when I get home from work.

New Force Awakens trailer released during halftime in tonight's football game. It looked pretty sweet!

Hoping to have some pics soon. I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth it to try and accurize the rear end. There should be two flaps in the back, but AMT only molded one on there.other than that the upper part is just about done, and then I'll move on to the legs.

Thanks, Klik! Any AT-AT pics, Bob? I built that one years ago. Wasn't too horrible, if I remember.

I'm still working on the AT-AT...lots of gaps to fill and seams to sand. I forgot what beasts these old AMT-ERTL kits are.

Thanks, NMT! I've played the game a handful of times with a friend who's really into it. It's definitely a fun game.

Five models in six days??? Geez. Post pics when you can!

Porkbits! Amazing work! I like the falcon also. I have a growing collection of x-wing miniatures too. The game is pretty fun if you have some one to play with.

On a build note. Five models done in six days! That is definitely a record for me. There is a model show down in Austin  that I am going to, I will try and get some pictures up by Sunday.

You're welcome, Bish. Happy to have joined the GB. I'll of course stick around and watch the other builds before the GB ends, can't get enough of SW. I don't think I can resist joining next year's GB, especially if TFA turns out to be halfway decent. :-)

And thanks for the compliments, Joe and BK! Appreciate it. It's always more fun to build with a group (even if only virtually). Big Smile

That's always a good way to get ideas for a build. The sort of finish you have achieved is just what I would like to ai for. The next GB will star at latter half of next year, possibly as late as Dec. So I hope you will be able to join in for that what ever you do with the X-Wing. A miniatures game, that's looks pretty damn big. Shame its not a kit, its looks really nice. Thanks for the info and double thanks for taking part.

Thanks for the compliments, Bish and Bob, appreciate it! This was a fun build.

Bish, glad I gave you food for thought with this build. That's how I built the Y--just started doing internet searches and then pulled weathering stuff I liked the most from various builds I saw online.

In any event, I might do a separate WIP thread for the X-Wing, after I've taken a bit of a break. The next SW GB isn't until 2017, right?

As for the Blockade Runner, that's actually a playing piece from the X-Wing miniatures game (believe it or not). There are expansion sets, including capital ships, and the Runner is one of the sets. So of course I bought it for display rather than for game play. :-)
