Thanks Bish and jibber. The putty monster was conquered!
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
plasticjunkie Thanks Bish and jibber. The putty monster was conquered!
That P51 came out pretty good man!
Here is a little inspiration for my project from the people over at World Of Tanks;

For the last couple of days I have been looking at my Mustang and felt that something was missing. Then it finally hit me, the kill marks were missing from the canopy frame!
Sorry Bish but could you please update the Gallery picture.
PanzerJ
That monster is truly impressive. Well done!
Good catch plasticj!
Ye, nice catch PJ.
I think Stik has been a bit busy lately, I haven't seen him around on here, but I know he will update it as son as he can.
No biggie, just had a senior moment.
The finished plane.
Outstanding Mustang, pj. Great NMF!
Thanks check!
PJ, I will try to get your beautiful Mustang added tomorrow or Sunday to the gallery. I have not been home in a couple of days (sleeping at work due to overtime) so no proper computer to do that stuff... Only my phone to keep up on things and post messages like this. My current work and home schedule do not allow me more than a few hours a couple or three days a week to get updates like that done. Thanks for understanding and having a little patience.

Not a problem stik. I remember those long days at work too.
OK then.. Plastic, your Mustang has been added to the front page finished photos. A good thing I was slow since I think the second batch of photos are better ;)
Panzer, I was getting your T28 confused from the Go Big GB. As you have seen I have a bit on my plate and am a bit overloaded trying to keep track of who is building what on all the GBs I am running or helping to run here. I have pulled the T28 off of the roster in here.
Sounds like your having a bit of a hectic time at work Stik, are things calming down a bit now.
Nice to see the 51 on the front page.
Bish, I honestly see no sign of change in the immediate future for work or home life. Not that I mind too much. It's just that there is so much to do and not enough time to get it all done.
Ok buddy. What I will do is if we get any more recruits or completed builds, I will add them to the first post until you have the time to put them in yours. That way it will be easier for you to keep track.
Okay just got home from model club meeting, took the dog for a walk, put a couple of burgers on to cook. Now, I can sit and relax and eat, Then I'll get the camera out and take a few pictures of Italeri's Commando Car (Jeep) (in and out of the box) lol
A.K.A. Ken Making Modeling Great Again
OK Bish, sounds good to me. That will be much appreciated my friend.
Take care Stick... try not to let it get you, thats why I'm semi retired and will soon be fully retired. The stress of todays corporate world was causing me to have various health issues including irregular heart beat and other related issues. Since slowing down and developing a Give a S@#t attitude, I've began normalizing again. Take care, we need you to be here for a long time to come!

One of the problems with having a kit in multiple GBs is boring folks who are in the same GBs. Here is the latest on the K-5
Here is the Gondola that might be offloading ammo to the gun in my diorama. DIY rail bed.The sides are not glued in yet because i'm not sure if they will be on or off, hence the gap.
each truck is about the size of the gondola. i rattle can painted the underside and inside panzer gray going on the assumption the dark yellow would only be on the outside. most of this as well as the wheels won't be seen. The journal boxes were hand painted with Vallejo Air dark panzer ocher 1943. The color has some green it and, after doing a bunch of modern desert vehicles, it takes some getting used to.. i can always alter it with washes at a later date.

Not to worry Wayne. The Artillery GB is starting next month and you'll have yet another GB to to enter your K5 into.
Speaking of boring people with more than one GB, I finally received the PE from Australia today, so I can get back on the Indy. Now on to explain the same thing in the Berny Memorial GB, and my own WIP post.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

just reread this. i know nobody here thinks i meant the folks here are boring.
lol, don't worry wayne, we know you didn't. I think that's one reason I avoid cross overs, its basically the same people that see and comment on it. I much prefer doing a build in one GB and a WiP thread at the same time.
Theres a lot of work going into that, looking really nice.
That's good news Steve. 350 scale PE, now that's scary.
Thanks stik. Just be positive about the busy work schedule and look at it as "job security".
Outstanding work on the rolling stock, Wayne. Nicely weathered; looks very realistic.
Quite a collection of PE, modelcrazy. All of that should be a lot of fun to add on.
beginning my ex commando car (Now Ford Jeep) Funny thing, Concern the rear seat & a few other parts,The directions say "You "Must" not use these" LOLOLOL Like I'm really going to listen to that
