I sprayed model master ultra gloss clear coat over the chrome powder and it turned it a dull gray so I have to redo the chrome powder. I fixed the BMF and painted the side marker lights. I now have the screen gluded in and the hood hinge back in. The bumper now has CA glue instead of white glue. Limited time tomorrow with the Easter holiday but I would like to get the interior and cab set in place. The top running lights are still just test fitting and also added the Ram head. And also finally fix the broken bar in the grill

Hi all,

Was able to get out in the shop to see where I left off on the Road Runner. Also sanded out the primer so weather permitting I can lay down the base coat tomorow. If not I hope to get it on by the weekend. Also only have one door panel to finish up and I can assemble the interior.

L8TR,

Eric.

crown: Thanks for the support for my wife and I. Lemme know when you are ready and I'll get you added in.

Dan: Man that truck is looking great so far bud. Too bad about what the clear coat did to the chrome on the bumper. Talk about a learning curve there! I know you'll get through it though.

Eric: You've got that interior looking the part. Just the right finish on those seat covers.

Sorry about the phone quality photo, but it's a way to get it done, at least!

Some progress on the F310B. A stage I love - the wheels are on! So from here, just some arials, the wings and the on-board cameras. Oh, and re-attach the borken off mirror, hopefully for the final time. Plus some more decals - sidepads I leave for last due to handling and then decals on the rims as well still outstanding. F1 fundi's will pick up something missing. I left out the barge boards (perfectly prepared) after the matt monster struck on one side supporting structure. (And for once it was a nice solid fit!) Will attach both if I get the other side's structure... but it's been more than a week, so I have little hope.

Anyways - here's the progress pic... heck, looking at the enlarged pic it looks horrible. Keep the scale in mind - the photo is MUCH larger than the model - those specks and gaps are invisible or hardly visible at all... However, it did highlight some that can be cleaned up!

Well I didn't like how the chrome looked when I put the chrome powder over clear coat so I reprimed with black gloss and reapplied the chrome powder. I think it was worth it the chrome shines now I also added chrome and black BMF around the windows and installed the back window. Added the head light lens and still have to fix the bar in the grill.

Nice work on your engine.

I finished installing the windshield, dash and steering wheel. I'm working on getting the air cleaner set in place under the hood.

Planning on getting that F310B done over the weekend. Just some tiny decals to do, plus... I think just fold the stand for the engine cover. Busy day ahead and a trail run (race) on tomorrow, so hope I get it done in between! But that's the plan - here's to hoping.

I installed the utility hoses and turn singles. Working on the side mirrors that are eating my lunch as I keep breaking them apart before I can even think about attaching them to the cab.

Thanks for for your comments I appreciate them.

Seabe: Man that's some really nice work on that 310!!! I bought an open wheel car to do one time about 30 years ago but never made it around to doing it. Sometimes I wish I would have given it a try. Isn't that thing 1/43rd scale?

Crown: I really like that shade of blue on that motor. What color did you use? Nice weathering and detail on that beauty.

Dan: Your truck looks superb!!!!! You're makin' me wanna try my hand at a rig!! And I do have one in stock!!!

Joe go for it,your Frightshaker is a good kit the only flaw is that the head lights are to high.

I'm just about finished now after looking over my pictures I can see I need to adjust a couple items that are off. Still need to add the tail lights and the air cleaner. I wanted to see how my Lowboy and an old box trailer looked behind it.

Mopar, that truck is looking awesome!

Yes, Mustang, it's 43rd - and it's DONE! Now just have to wait for sun to take some pics. That took one it's sweet time... and still got buggered up. But my first "detailed" and open-engined 43rd, so reasonably happy. The critical part came together really well. And all errors are mine, not the kit's!

Dan: I like both display variations that you've got set up for that truck! Yes Good lookin' rig you've got so far.

Seabe: I don't know how you pull all of that detail off in that scale!! Great work buddy!

Crown: That color is perfect!!

I was going to catch everybody up on where I'm at in regards to the 54 Chevy but I'll just start posting where I'm at right now with it.

I just finished the 427 Big Block for it

Joe I agree with Crown. Here's a suggestion do a diorama with the engine being installed from a engine stand.

Hi all,

Yep I'm still here lol. Weather's finally getting good enough for me to get out into the shop.

I'm really enjoying the work you guys are doing. :)

Mustang, I'm still working on the Road Runner, but I want to add a Revell 69 Camaro. I'm buiding it for my niece and need to get it done by the end of May so I can mail it to her before her birthday. Nothing like a little motivation to get back in the groove hehehehe.

Thanks.

Good to see you back Eric! Is that gonna be the regular Camaro or the Foose one?

Mustang,

It's the regular one. She wants it blacked out so I've got a few ideas for it. I'll post some pics later this week.

Crown,

That is some awesome dash work!

Eric.
