Thanks Crown

Test mock up to see how everything is lining up. The cab will need some grinding on the inside for the radiator to fit and allow the front to set a little lower to level every thing.

Im not sure if there should be a roof vent that is on this one and is it in the correct location? Checking pictures it's hard to tell if some had the roof vent and some didn't so I'm not sure if it should stay or remove it

I cut the frame and added 35 scale inches it was the same 35" I cut out of the Bighorn.

I agree on those wheels Mopar. If I didn't know they were scale I'd think they were real.

My paint experiment on the Camaro was a complete failure. It's ugly hehehehe. It looks like it was set on fire and beat out with a pick axe LOL. Oh, well after it dries I'll sand it and redo it.

Thanks Eric. When I have to strip a bad paint job I use brake fluid it removes the paint fast. I also use disposable gloves.

Dan: Dude that truck is going great! Those wheels are really giving the truck "that look".Yes

Eric: No worries man! Dan's right though.....brake fluid or "Purple Power" will strip that paint off like it's nuthin'. After that a quick wash in dishwashing soap and warm water with a toothbrush and you'll be ready for another coat of primer. I stripped my '56 Ford F-100 body paint twice and my dang hood four times that way. Surprise

Thanks for the continued comments. I worked on the dump body and working on where to locate the exhaust pipes, batteries, air tanks and the hydrilic tank. I'm going to run the exhaust pipes on top of the frame it allows the dump body to be closer to the cab. Here's a picture of where I'm at.

Spent a little more time this morning cleaning up some joints on the dump body and also installed the battery boxes and air tanks. Here's what I'm planning for the stacks.

Dave: Progress looks good on that Ferrari so far!

Dan: I'm lovin' those exhaust stacks. It's funny how all these mods come together. I'm finding that it all seems like a jumbled mess when I'm building/ modding my kits. So far this '54 seems like the most solid of all my upgraded kits though. Great job and progress!

We're doing ok this week there Dan and thanks for asking. She's had a bout of headaches this week and think that it's hormone related. I'm keeping my eye on her.............close.

Joe glad to see your wife is improving make sure to keep a close watch on her  I continue to keep her and your family in my prayers .

When I was trying to touch up the black primer I was at the end of the rattle can and it started spitting and messed up my smooth finish. That's what I get for trying to get every last drop of paint out of the can. So now I'm stripping it down and getting a new can of paint this is a one step forward and two back.

The paint was really bad with runs and deep air bubbles in some areas so I decided it would be easyer to just strip it in the bad areas.

Was able to clean up the dump body and respray it. Also sprayed the sub frame yellow and chromed the bumper. I also have the host in place for the dump. Worked on cleaning up panel lines on the cab too and some more primer on it  I think I'm close with the clean up on the cab  Going to work on getting the glass cut and fit before I paint

Bad luck with that paint, Mopar - hope it gets sorted well!

Some of my progress pics. In hindsight, I fortgot to take a pic of the Wolf engine start, but that's pretty standard up till now.

So here's the initial 1st half of step 1 on the Jag - the cockpit base:

...and the first PE applied  - fuel filler, difficult to see it's two parts due to the flash. (And difficult to photograph with cell.)

The 43rd Williams start - painted and white added, sections around the cockpit was prescribed to be handpainted. It borders on white decals, so I hope it'll be okay and blended in. Blue also displays a lot lighter due to flash.

And last but not least for the heck of it - a size comparison...

Seabe nice progress on the Jag.

Updates on my progress I've painted the frame, added some chrome the hydr tank straps and more clean up on the cab pluses I drilled out the resin head lights so I can install the glass lenses and also cut out the front grill. Going to start working on cutting the glass out for the cab and maybe some color on the cab.

Dan: Sorry 'bout the paint blues brother! Man I hate it when that happens. Looks like you're recovering well though. Thanks for the prayers up for us here. We're hanging in there one day at a time.

Seabe: Nice progress buddy! I do 48th scale aircraft but I'm not about to start building 43rd scale autos. You're the man! Yes

A few updates from my side of the house:

Got the seat belts assembled and finished..........

Image

I managed to modify the OOB rear flooring to fit around the wheel tubs in the back and mate up to the original front floor section almost perfectly. I shot primer, then the red coat and then flocked it after the red had dried.

From here:

To here:

and I found out that the big   couch aint going to work! It's too tall and takes up way too much room in the back. I even trimmed out the bottom of it so the wheel tub would fit up inside the bottom of the couch and it was still too tall. No worries though. I broke out the bench seat from the kit and filled in the area at the center of the couch where the transmission hump cut out was and have it primed so far. I also tossed the coffee table from the equation as the TV was sitting up too high and would've hit the roof. I replaced that with a section of clear plastic from Evergreen and painted it black on the back side to give it that "black glass" look. I'm currently working on the L angled two legs for the front of the table. I believe this....is more doable. I still have to carpet the side of the R/H wheel tub but I'm makin' some progress anyhow.

Wow, the work you guys put in is amazing, some inspirational work going on.

I've made some small progress but unfortunately my airbrush is out of action as I managed to lose the locking nut. Now waiting for a replacement to arrive.

Working on the exhaust piping I found the air tanks I mounted interfered with the pipes so I have relocated them. Here's a mock up to check clearance.

Holy cow, Mopar! But for all the other good work - those are amazingly shiny pipes! How did you do it? Alclad?
