Going Big GB

I finally got back to, and finished, the Tamiya Corsair. I know the engine was posted on the completed page so here's the "engine display case"

Sorry, I totaly forgot that I was a part of this GB. Anyway, here is the Fokker so far.

Very little to update on this, as most of us, I have been busy with life.
Here is what I have so far. I attached the wings and filled some gaps. Next is the undercarriage and a few other fiddly things. I'm working on the guns separately.

Here's the progress tonight. I was gone the Tacoma and returned late last night so I didn't get much done. Anyway it is ready for painting.

Now that does look cool, I like it more than the all red :-)

I think I got it. Here is the Dr-1 in its paint. I still need to finish the guns and a few other tough ups such as the skids on the wing tips ETC.

I will probably put this aside for a day or two while I try to finish two ther builds.

I do like the prop on the DR1, well done.

Here is my 1/32 Tam Mustprang. I got the engine and firewall basically done

The belts on the seat are "real look" and I like them allot!

This is my build for MOY in Jan next year so I better get a move on..

I finally completed the Baron's Dr-1. The kit was what you would expect from an old Revell mold, with a little PE added.

Dang you got that old kit to look really good mate! I do like the look of the fabric aswell as the prop...the figure also gives it a nice feel, well done.

I don't mind, but you might as well let it run its course to the end of the month. My 1/32 P-51 May be complete by then. I did finish the Fokker so I at least completed something.

I have totally lost steam with my mustprang, moving house over December and constant heatwaves of around 40 plus celcius and working in a hot hanger all day has taken it's toll...

It had been the hottest day in the past 130 years!

The extreme drought is also very bad with some people dying in line waiting to get drinking water.....Africa can be a rather harsh place sometimes :-(

Beautiful job on your DR-1.  Wonderful detail and perfect setting...and the Baron looks great. You always produce some great looking models. I would love to be able too see some of your "dio" work.

Wing_Nut great job on your Corsair....Nicely weathered and battle proven.

It's all your fault Steve!   LOL 
I just HAD to sit down for 1/2 hour now and do some work on the mustprang's cockpit...not allot ,just painted a few of the "boxes" that go on the sidewalls and assemled the glareshield.

It's like eating an elephant....one little bite at a time.

Here is Moonbeam so far. I added the decals and beginning the weathering. I still need to add some more oil wash and some pastels, but I wanted to put up an update.

Holy cow that looks stunning! I wish mine was even close to that stage.....when I started it I thought I was going to be done by now but the build is way more intence than I initially expected. I have boxed it for a little while till I can give it the attentention it deserves.

With that finish you got there I hope you will be joining us in the nmf "metal master GB''   ;-)

Yeah, I thought it would be finished months ago. It is an intense build and I still need to get the pilots and mechanic painted then build the base. I'm giving 100% to it so I should be able to get it across the finish line fairly soon.

I was just browsing through the GB lists and forgot that I had joined this build. Sorry that I havent been updating with photos of the 109G-6. I'll have to get some photos done. I 've almost got her wrapped up. Just need to add a few more small decals and details and she'll be done.

When ever you are ready...don't rush :-)

So here's a quick shot of my Bf-109G-6 Late that I've been working on. I've done a little bit of work since this was taken a few weeks ago. I've added a light wash and some more decals. Once I get a few other small bits added I'll be calling her done.

I Love the paintwork on that 109....very nice :-)
