Toshi, that's turned out to be a real nice build to see. Very interesting visually, and you pulled it off quite well. I'm glad to see you have the means and the will to pick yourself back up and that you keep moving. =] Looking forward to seeing it complete.

I am pleased with the winglest, I broke the left one off only once LOL

Now I just need to figure out if the wings are white or very light grey...

Theuns,
That's looking nice . It looks like the wings should be a mix of gray with polished alumumin leading slats

B1,

That's a bummer about the stab's, Scratching some seems like quite a challange. You are welcome to change you entry if you like although I'd hate to see all that work go to waste. Personally, I'm not as good as you when it comes to scratch building.

Toshi,

Yeah, you've come a long way. That is such an intresting subject. I really don't believe I've seen one (visable B-17) before.

Toshi,

Wow! Now that's a sight you seldom see these days. The see-through is still a stunning sight!

Theuns,

Great progress so far on the 738.

Theuns: Nice save.

Rudy: I can't believe I missed in your post about the B-29 where you had parts for Fat Man and Little Boy?!  That is Bad@ss!!  I've often considered (as I'm sure plenty others here as well have) how I'd go about scratching out these two.  Glad to know somebody out there is has a mold.  Save me from fooling with the math. Ha! =]  Looking forward to seeing those build up.

Here is my completed Visible B-17G "Flying Fortress".  I want to thank you all for allowing me to join this GB.  It is my very first one for me, due to this, I am very excited to be a part of this GB.

Nicely done Toshi! Those are almost even my initials, "BNV" =D

Quick question about it.  Are those markings from a particular plane?  Often times there were anti-glare panels painted in Olive Drab to prevent the crew from being blinded by light reflecting off of the engine nacels and in front of the cockpit.  Did your reference have these?  I can't recall any plane that was on the line in NMF without them...I'm sure there's always an exception though.

There are some really awesome builds going on here.  I promise I will get started at some point, I've had to switch projects as the Hornet I'm doing currently is actually for someone that lost a son and I figured it might be a little too personal and private to be sharing.  So I'll toss in with a Blue Angel when I get started on it.  I've tried polishing out a paint job with Novus on small bits, I'm interested to see how it does on the full airframe.

The badge with the B-29 dropping bombs is cool, I like that.  It was a pleasure to be a part of the GB.  Too bad my TBF Avenger is not a Boeing built aircraft, I would have entered that as well.

Thank you,

Toshi

Toshi,

You can thank Cody for that. He make all my badges, except for the simplistic ones I try to throw up on occasion.

Groot and bvallot

Don't worry about it. I have several GB's I'm trying to finish as well. This move has really put me behind. I still haven't gotten my bench set up, let alone started on my own GB's.

Just came across this GB. I would like to join with an AMT KC-135 to be finished as an RC-135U using the old main track conversion set.

I have been looking in on this, thoguht i better drop a line. Some great work here, Toshi, that 17 looks really nice. And something a bit different as well.

Steve, as is my practicenow, i am doing my GB builds in the order that the GB's finish, so my Osprey is at the end of a short list. But i am hoping to get to it before the end of the year, i wnat to start next year with a clean slate as it were.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Bish,

I understand perfectly. I too try to do GB's in order and since this move, haven’t been back to get back to the bench. I won't be starting on a Boeing project for a few months either.
By the way, I didn't know you had an RV business here in the Boise area.

I ended up scratch building new stabs by using thick plasticard and sanding them to shape then scribing in the details. So I am back in the game with this terrible kit Big Smile

Ken,

The Bell is looking great, I am excited to see how it turns out. I have the same kit but probably won’t get to it for some time. Watching yours, I can get excited to start mine. Funny, I got the whim to get that kit after watching reruns of MASH.

B1,

Oh yeah! I knew you could do it! I was hoping you wouldn’t throw in the towel on that kit.
