I thought maybe he'd caught something in his zipper. Or he was pulling the pin on a grenade. A good chuckle, anyway.
I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.
Have fun.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I, too, wish your brother-in-law a speedy recovery.
Your figures are incredible! What is the pilot doing?
Thank you Rooster, on both accounts.
Steve,
Sorry to hear about your bother-in-law but good to hear he is doing better. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
I think the figures look pretty darn good!

For goggle lenses, I just put a drop of Future with a toothpick.
Thanks guys,
I went back and softened the camo a tad. The edges were just too shark for Italian camo. I'm also finished with the figures except for getting a dull coat and painting the pilots googles.
What would be suggested for the goggle lenses? Silver just does not look right.
Like the look of that camo Steve, and those pilots are looking nice as well.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Very nice work on the Camo Steve!!
I applied the Silly Putty to the 202 for the camo. It made it look like it had the measles. Next will be the underwing grey.
The detail painting on those pilots is great Steve! As far as a suggestion I don't have anything...suprised Dull Cote would make it glossy like that.
I was able to get some work done yesterday and painted the green base coat. I will apply dots of Silly Putty and go over this with the sand to get the effect I want.
I worked some on the guys and repainted the flight suit green. The vest and parachute will be tan. I'm having a hard time with the mechanics face. I can't seem to get it to look right. The pilot is looking good to me though...maybe a tad sunburnt but.....well they are in the desert after all.
Got your pics up on the main page O. Those are some beautiful builds you turned out! Thanks for joining the GB!
Bish Got plenty done there Johnny. What you using for the NMF.

tempestjohnny Here are my two builds. Hasegawa Razorbacks. Good bench time when the state gets shut down because of a major blizzard. Expecting up to 2 feet of snow.

Good use of the time off johnny! That's a great start!
I opted for cataract surgery. Now I can see....time to get to work.

modelcrazy Thanks Bish, it took a little while to find them. Not too many Italian pilot figures out there.

No, especially for aircraft. There are quite a few 35th figures if you look in the right place
Great work on those 2 O, really nicley finished.
Steve, i didn't realise CMK did Italian figures, good to see. I rather like their 72nd ones, so those should be nice.
Steve that Macchi is coming along nicely!
O, those came out beautiful. I'll get them added to the finished roster!
Those are great looking Jugs O. The paint job is too tough for me.
I have some figures I wanted to add to the Macchi dio.
The Jugs are done! Both are 1/48 Hasegawa kits built in WIF markings for friends. I'll be posting a more detailed post with more photos in the Aircraft forum when I have a little more time. Until then, here are some teasers...
